Lawrence County always plays Belfry tough... I'll still take the Pirates by 4 touchdowns.

Belfry usually plays sluggish against the Bulldogs, but Belfry wins by at least 28

Belfry Shuts out LC

Belfry, had it easy the first go around now they have to work a little harder. 28-14. Belfry gets into the grove after two or three sets.

Belfry should and most likely will win this one. I love my Dawgs and I really respect and love to watch Belfry football it reminds me of the days of old at LC. I keep waiting for them days to return. And hopfully it wont be to much longer GO DAWGS.

Belfry Will Win This One Not Sure What The Score Will Be. Am Told Lc Looks Good Just Alot Of Young Kids And I Feel This Game Will Only Make Lc Better They Can Move The Ball Just Need To Find A Way To Get It In The Endzone. And If They Can Keep From Turning It Over And Silly Mistakes These Kids Only Gonna Get Better. Come On Lc Get Behind These Kids And Lets Return To The Days Of Old. Domination

Belfry 42

Belfry by 3 TD's. Just to many threats to defend.
#19
Lawrence County's going to be a tough game. They run a West Virginia style Spread Option offense that always takes speed and solid tackling to stop. Guess what Belfry has? Haywood will study the tape all week, and The Pirates come out knowing what to expect. They'll use their physicality and solid tackling to take the Bulldogs... the question by how much?

I don't see the defense stopping Charlie, Drew, Ivan, and Thomas. They're a talented defense, but Belfry's offense is just too good. 48-14, Pirates prevail.

2-0

This Pirates team has got a lot of weapons.
#21
Go Dawgs!!!!!!
#22
Have to go with Beflry in this one. Too many weapons for Lawrence Co. to handle. Good luck to both teams.

Belfry- 38
Lawrence County- 7

I have been saying kick us while were down because we won't be down forever, and now were not down anymore. Maybe not back to where I would love to see us but I think we can compete at a high stage again on normal basis. I know Belfry is very good year in and year out and expected to win big in this one but I think it will much closer than one thinks. If I were the coach of this young dawgs team, I would set the fire in their behinds and not let any of the talk of this game get them down. This years team is a young and talented bunch of kids and the sky is the limit for them down the road. Look for this new and improved coaching staff to get there kids ready for this game.

I'll take the dawgs in a upset:

20-16

Belfry should be able to easily win this one, especially if they are as good as advertised.
#25
Belfry wins 42-12 with Lawrence's two touchdowns coming in the 4th.

You know guys Belfry has always been the team to beat and for the most part were favorites and even went to the state title game and LC beat them or played them to the wire with the exception of last year.... I really think LC has a great shot of winning. They cant have any penalties or turnovers and have to control the game on the clock.

I think the Dawgs have a shot. With Josh Wilks in the backfield anything could happen. I'm going with my dawgs......20-13 LC

I totally agree. It's LC's time to shine.

Maynard had 4 carries 148yds and 2 tds against Holy Cross and he had 1 carry and a 65 yd touch down against Boyd County. He's only been tackled twice in 3 games the kids great.

These message boards crack me up because most of the time people have no idea what's going on. Josh Wilks hasn't played a down yet but the Dr's have cleared him so we can't wait to get him back and going.
Belfry has LC's upmost respect. They have set the bar and are a great measuring stick for all programs in Eastern KY.
LC has 1-2 Sr's starting on offense and 2 SR's starting on defense. LC is probably one of the youngest teams in the state. I can't say enough about how hard the kids have worked and this team is going to get better and better every week! The kids attitudes have been great and they have worked their tails off. I don't know when that wall is going to come crashing down but I honestly feel like in my heart it's going to happen in the near future. Belfry is a huge favorite this week as they should be but I love the group of kids LC is going to battle with. The goal is to get better and better every week then creep up and win the District. LC has played well thus far they just have to take that next step and play every play with everything they have! I think the kids are starting to figure out that it only takes one player taking a play off to cost a ballgame. We have to protect the ball too. LC is growing into the offense and the potential to be explosive is there. The defense is flying around right now as well as it has in the past 7 years or so. I can promise you that the theme is to be physical or stay at the house!
I really hope our fans stick together because this team is going to grow and grow IMO. The program is heading in the right direction and the future is very bright at Lawrence Co! You have to crawl before you walk and this group of kids are really close to taking that first big step IMO. No matter what goes down Friday night the season is a marathon not a sprint. Pulling off the upset over Belfry would be the upset of the season but LC has won games as this big of an underdog before in the past. Those teams were filled with a bunch of kids+coaches that knew they had something special going on that others couldn't see from the outside.
To me LC and Belfry are a lot alike. Both have storied programs in small towns with passionate fans. Both are at their best when they are physical and play team ball! Belfry has the size, speed and experience hands down. This is a great measuring stick to see where we are with the youth we have this year. I expect our kids at LC to come out and play loose with a swagger the Dawgs haven't had in awhile! If we aren't giving everything we have every single play then I will be really upset! I hope this turns out to be a great game!
