Pictures of Hazard's Daniel Field

It is within a week of the turf people coming in to lay the turf. I've heard the field may be done by the Gridiron Classic on the 6th. The whole facility -track, scoreboard, press box and everything would be done by the 19th which is the 2nd home game vs. Harlan.

Here are some pictures I took today of Hazard's football field 8-21-08. The field is really shaping up...it looks GREAT!! I can't wait until it's finished. GOOOO DAWGS!!!!

Going to look nice even though I was a fan of the old field with the natural grass. Guess I just need to get over the oldschool grass fields since it seems as if every school is going to the turf. I will say that as a coach, turf is a dream to take care of since you don't have to line it, have the grass cut and so on. Going to look great Bulldog fans and players!

It will definitely have its advantages. For the first time in history Hazard High School now has a soccer team. The soccer team will be using this field. The Band of Gold will also use the field for their fieldshows and home competition and at homecoming there will be no more wading thru mud over your shoes. I can't wait until it's finished. The facility will be finished by friday sept 12....the turf is already almost laid...and blacktop is being done wed. as well as the scoreboard and pressbox. If Blue N' Gold would be so kind as to get some pictures it would be appreciated.

Woah.... Not what I had expected.. Don't get me wrong, it's nice. REALLY nice. But those inzones are a lot brighter than I had expected them to be. Those look true blue, not Hazard's deep (almost navy) blue. Will this be the color that will remain on the inzones? The press box looks like it will be nice though. Best wishes on your new field Hazard...

It looks a little darker in the first picture. I think the sun made it look lighter in the second picture. It's not as dark as navy blue which is Hazard's color but when they get the gold HAZARD BULLDOGS on it I think it will look great.

The endzones are much darker in person....and look navy especially now that they are cutting the hazard and bulldogs into them in metallic gold. I also cant wait for the 50 yard line H to be done. It looks great. I have heard turf will be done by thursday of this week, pressbox by friday, and all the blacktopping by thursday. I also cant wait to see all the new field equipment-benches, goalpost pads, pylons, etc... on the beautiful turf field.

Do you have a picture of how the end zone will look? I also noticed it didn't have the numbers on the field are they cutting it too

Yes all the lines(soccor, hash, and numbers), HAZARD and BULLDOGS endzones, as well as the H at midfield will be cut in and were finished today i just drove up there a while ago.

Here's the field today, Sept. 9th, and I agree...it's AMAZING!!! Also, it was cloudy today when I took these pictures and the blue is very much navy...the sun washed it out in the other pics.

with the pressbox, the new field equipment, the scoreboard, the blacktop around everything...it will be imo one of the nicest fields and complexes in the state.
