In my opinion on rival`s they are made for one another. A good example is Rockastle and Bell. It`s like when Black Widows try to be social one ain`t leaving without getting bit. When these rivals meet up and lay it all out one is gonna take the glory and the other is gonna learn the lesson and become greater because of it.

They ain`t no slouch but i would rather have them on my shedule than not. Anybody rough you can tack on is like money in the bank. To me it don`t matter how you make it to the post-season. Its your state of readiness when you get there. Readiness to take them all on and honor the mountains of eastern Ky.

Thats the only way you can get better is play the best. i hope one day people can us a mountain power.i think we are on the right track.

It is a positive slogan our barefooted encestors have been using for a very long time. Its just one way of stating how very proud we are to be from the region.

Speed by no means replaces experience and maturity. HCC will show up and show up to win!!!` HOWEVER `they need to be prepared for a long sobering ride back over PINE MT. Hey you can always stop at the bottom and git` them boys a kids meal at McDonalds. Those toys bring smiles to alot of faces. And the equipment manager should be prepared to remove all that BLUE PAINT from there helmets...

hey exactly it dont....the whole cougar D is back and guess what they are all SENIORS! so you can stop at McDonalds but i dont think that will cheer them up because they are not going to want to move after playing us

Only one thing can come from good programs in the mountains and that is more good programs. I for one am sick and tired of central and northern people thinking they are better than us. They have the belief that just because we are from the mountains we are useless. I would love to see some of our mountain boys put a good ole country whipping on some of those teams someday!

I don't have a kid on the team lil chick, but these boys from Harlan County are momma's boys, in the sense that they have been taught to love and respect their parents. I'm sure they'll be respectful to the Cougars also. They may even offer them a hand after knocking them flat on their backs. I'm sure you are proud of the success that your team had last year as you should be. Best of luck to your team this year.

I can tell that you don't have a kid on the team because real "Mama's" don't brag on kids being knocked flat on their backs, they have compassion for those players and parents. To have never played a game, much less won a game, you are very arrogant, makes me wonder about your character. I can assure you that our brags are backed up, we have earned the right to be a little cocky, especially the Seniors.

I think you are missing the whole point of this thread. You are trying to attack me personally. I am just trying to cheer on our new football team. All the comments except for yours are about the footabll game and the team. You are attacking me personally for some reason. Most of these digs toward each others team's are in good spirit and fun. Confidence is one thing, but some of this is just borderline arrogance. District titles are nice, but they don't hand out rings for those. Regional final wins and semifinals wins and state wins are what people should brag about. Until then, I feel that a little more modesty would be a good thing.

i believe a district title is something to brag about for a team who has only been together for 4 years this year.
