Not offended, just discussing:thumpsup: I know a lot of those season opening losses for Neon came toward the last few years when they really started going down as a program.

this is gonna be a fun game but i dissagree about the fans thinking like that...LCC fans know how we play and know what to expect from us they are just going to be a alot of happy people after the victory since everyone puts us down on here lol

I think that it is really sweet that their momma's are on here trying to hype them up for the big game. But I've got news for you momma's and momma's boys, this is a whole new level of football. I watched them beat every team they played last year (with the exception of Hazard), I've seen the practices this year, and I know these Seniors WILL NOT LOSE !!

So I predict Harlan is in for a long night. momma's will be full of ribs, but you will leave your pride on this side of the hill.

I don't have a kid on the team lil chick, but these boys from Harlan County are momma's boys, in the sense that they have been taught to love and respect thier parents. I'm sure they'll be repsectful to the Cougars also. They may even offer them a hand after knocking them flat on their backs. Smile

I'm sure you are proud of the success that your team had last year as you should be. Best of luck to your team this year.

we know what its like being a 1st year team we went through all the beats and bangs against Rock and Bell and them big teams now you all can find out when you play us cause we are a much better team than last years team. we have got alot stronger and alot faster i mean our whole D runs under a 5-40

Harlan Co. has 5 kids that run 4.6 and lower.They also has a OL that runs a 4.8. hes is about 6'2 260.:mad:

Speed by no means replaces experience and maturity. HCC will show up and show up to win!!!` HOWEVER `they need to be prepared for a long sobering ride back over PINE MT. Hey you can always stop at the bottom and git` them boys a kids meal at McDonalds. Those toys bring smiles to alot of faces. And the equipment manager should be prepared to remove all that BLUE PAINT from there helmets...

The more I look at this thread the less I think of some of the things being said here. I know this and that is that Harlan County is made up of three good teams with a long tradition of hard nosed football. They are not Betsy Layne, Letcher High and Knott Central for God's sake. You are not taking three of the worst teams around and asking them to put it together and go play football. You have a proven coach with many kids with playing experience. Evarts had them on the ropes the first year LCC was consolidated if I remember correctly. I just don't see any 1A schools taking Harlan Co. to the limit. At any rate, good luck to the teams.

I was at the same passing scrimmage as Da Bears, and I didn't see that many people running sub 5 40's. HC had a WR running an out route and there was NO answer for. He may run a high 4.6. So all those 40's at LCC must be @ 4.9 or so.

I think that most of this poking is all in jest and in the spirit of a good ole rivalry. I wouldn't read too much into it sekyfootball.
There's one thing about it, we will all know Aug. 29th.

...and of course we will celebrating with our Happy Meals on the way home! lol

I'll take the Black Bears by a touchdown, a happy meal, and some ribs. I don't think this is going to be an ordinary consolidated team. Should be a really good game. Plus like Mama Bear said our boys are respectful and do what their mama's tell them to do and all the mama and papa bears in Harlan County are telling their boys to WIN!

Maybe we can stop on top of the mountain on the way home a tailgate using some cougar the equipment manager had to scrape off the bottom of the Harlan County boys cleats!

Speaking of food if i do make it home i hope they got chilly in a bag Mmhhh!!! My favorite. And everyone keeps talking about ribs~ can`t get ribs when im stuck at work getting hungry. But yeah lets not read to much into it.. To the point i would exept no lesser oponent than HCC. Seems ive been dreamin this one up for a long time. Rivalry that already has this much hype come on!!

I can say that im at peace now finally because our area is gonna have two big schools competing now. The coal miners worked hard to get them were they are. And anytime those outlanders come into the woods they gonna have to watch out for an angry ol`Black Bear or a narly`sly Cougar
