I think 10-0. IMO the only lose could be against JC.

10-0

9-1 lose to JC on the road

10-0 easily... this weak schedule may hurt them during the playoffs.

what happened to the Ohio team they used to play.

Ironton joined a conference in Ohio, the new scheduling grid and open dates could not match with Belfry's scheduling grid and open dates so the series came to an end. Ironton was a great filler on the schedule.

Belfry should go a perfect 10-0. Three games in my opinion that will be close. Holy Cross, Pikeville and Johnson Central.

Only problem is Belfry only beat them once in the span of 10 years....

I dont see Holy Cross being very close.....
Pikeville shouldn't be very close, but it is a rivalry and it's a Pikeville...
Sheldon Clark @ SC should be pretty competitive...
Johnson Central @ JC will be tough

This is an awful schedule minus the last game.

The last 2 games will be hard.

You think East Carter will be tough at Belfry? Please explain... last season Belfry just toyed with them in Grayson and still blew them out.

I see maybe a 10-0 or maybe a 9-1, Lose coming to JC. But yea like someone mention, this could hurt them later on in the Season to with that schedule!

Just when people under estimate East then BAM they send you home with a loss.:howdy: Not that their better than Belfry but they could be a tough game anyway.

They really can't say much for their district schedule. You must play them!
As for non-district play. I'm sure they have a very difficult time scheduling quality non-district opponents. Its not that teams are afraid to play them, but they are known to be very physical and alot of coaches don't want to risk losing a key athlete that could cost them in the playoffs. Most high school teams don't have the luxury of have a whole lot of athletes on the team and a couple of injuries can really hurt you when most are going both ways. I'm sure they did the best they could.

I wish Belfry's schedle was more rigorous too but here's how you have to break it down:
(4)District: SC, Magoffin, Pike Central, and East Ridge. Nothign you can do.
(1) PCB vs. Holy Cross: Pre-arranged, nothing you can do.
(1) Johnson Central: No complaints
(1) Pikeville: County rival for the longest time, nothing you can do.
(2) shelby Valley, East Carter: 2 year contracts...nothing you can do.
This leaves only 1 game, Lawrence County. Witht he Bulldogs having a new head coach and the fact they have been playing Belfry for 10 years or so, it is only fitting to play them under the new regime and try to help them bring their program back up.
Belfry needs to replace East Carter and SV next season with some quality opponents, and then hope the PCB does it's job.

If Belfry really wants to get somebody tough there's always Russell.
Does anyone have the series records of Belfry and East Carter?

Why would you play a team you will probably see down the road again if you didn't have to?

We'll maybe to get a look at them,I don't care how much film you watch it's not the same as playing.
I don't blame you one bit not wanting to play them though.i wouldn't want to either.Ivan has a real tough team.
I would like to see you guys play Ironton and lay one on them.

This will not happen, the Bulldogs are content to schedule other people like Sheldon Clark.

Whats that have to do with anything have you even looked at LC schedule. We have played Belfry like the above poster said 10 years and really know matter how bad LC is we always give Belfry more then they want... And SC is a rival so why would we want to schedule anyone else in there place.

Look for Sheldon Clark to be moved up to game #2 for the '09/'10 seasons where the Pirates have been for the past 10 years. The Cards are willing to play the Bulldogs in the opening game of the year ('09/'10) which would allow Lawrence to keep Belfry on the schedule.

Should win them all...... Johnson Ct. only game that could be closse......

If healthy 10-0 in regular season. Could see a Russell/Belfry matchup in third round of playoffs
