A doctor and a family member say a northernKentucky high school standout athlete from the 1970s and Kentucky'sfirst Miss Basketball is in intensive care, hoping for a livertransplant. Donna Murphy has been hospitalized this week inCincinnati. Murphy was the state's first Miss Basketball in 1976and set regional and state tournament records.
