this is prolly a now or never season for the blackcats.

Don't know if I'd go quite that far, though it's true...the loss of next yr's class will leave some awfully big holes.

Competing against teams such as Morgan Co, Bath Co, and Shelby Valley is not going to help them come playoff time. But I do commend the staff for throwing in teams such as Beechwood, Breathitt Co, and Pikeville which should help them toughen up. Does anyone know what Breathitt and Beechwood have returning?

Prestonsburg does have to go to Bath county this year and Bath county is returning a lot of talent of their own.

I'm sure Bath Co. will be well motivated for next year's game, if the posts made by one of its fans (on the -other- website) is any indication. Seems as though he felt P-burg won so convincingly only because of the officials.

IMO, that game has "danger" written all over it next season...

i can see someone saying a game was lost because of the refs..if its close..not if the other team won by 30 +

The score isn't a complete indication of how the game was. The game started out back and forth and then some very, very racial comments were made towards some of Bath county's athletes (that I heard personally) and what do you do when the ref's don't want to do anything about it. Not to mention, 3 out of the 4 officials resided in Floyd county.

alright, was on the field this game and im telling you that there were no racial comments made towards anyone..that was just a sick rumor that someone started..

Try and keep this civil... Stay on-topic.

The Blackcats will just have to prove it on the feild against Bath Co. I guess.

What does that have to do with the outcome of the game? calling each other names doesn't have anything to do with the 30 point difference in the score. I'm not trying to sound insensitive because if it were true then thats awful, but there is no point even bringing it up because it had nothing to do with the outcome of the game

To improve the OL must be able to go 8 deep without a significant dropoff in ability. Without that kind of depth, linemen start grabbing and the feet don't move.

who's nathan?

When I originally posted, Nathan Doderer was rumored to be in the process of transferring to Prestonsburg. He's a speedster that ran out of the Paintsville backfield over the past couple seasons.

I don't know if the transfer happened.

Betsy Layne has been removed from the schedule.

I guess that Prestonsburg will be looking for a replacement for the Joe P. Tackett Bowl.

Is this a sure thing?

There is no telling, maybe it will be a team we've never faced before.

I would love it if the Cats got to step on the field and go at it with Allen Central!

It would be nice to see, but it would never happen.
#56
I would love to see that happen.

The Blackcats have some really good freshmen coming in to help out with the upper classmen. Some notables are Joseph Jamerson, Blake Goble and Wesley Robinson. I think one of the biggest additions to the team from middle school will be Alex Garner a ot/dt from Adams middle. He is a huge body who has a ton of room to put on good weight and has a determination like none other.
#58
yeah, we have some good freshmen..one that will definitley get some PT is joseph jamerson, clays little brother..he came in 4th in the state in 110 hurdles in track in field..and in the high school division, not middle.
#59
He is a great athlete. I havent seen such a great track runner at his age in my life. He can hold his own with the big boys.
#60
Setser and Cranyon will be a very talented backfield. Good luck to both young men this year and good luck to the Blackcats.
