I've not heard anything about her. How is her knee?
03-23-2008, 06:29 PM
The last I heard on her was she has a partially torn LCL, a bone bruise and maybe a partially torn ACL, not sure on the ACL though. The last I was told was that she goes to Lexington this week sometime to have Dr. Ireland look at it because she was complaining that the inside of her knee was bothering her. Things don't seem to good right now. Hopefully everything is fine. Once I hear more I will let everyone know.

well, we wish her luck for a speedy recovery!
good thing knott central has a deep bench. they can fill her spot if shes not ready for the next season!

Hopefully she will be back. She would be tough to replace. She rebounds well and is a good role player who will be need to help lead the team next year. If all goes well she should be back by mid october or so.

I was told by someone close to the program that Kendra has suffered a torn ACL.

well, shes a good player.
but, it wont be hard to fill her spot. kcc has a strong bench. they would be fine. i wouldnt be suprised if it doesnt get taken anyways.

It would be harder than you think it is. Thomas is a tough player. And what little I know about her and I can tell you that she will work extrememly hard at getting her knee back and getting back in shape. She isn't going to let this obstacle slow her down. She loves to play to much. But you are correct they do have a deep and strong bench but there are very few if any that can play the way Thomas does. She is expected to play every where.

rThere is to much drama on the team. The players constantly talk about eachother. A team needs to be close with one another. If they bind together, they will play together, and have fun. A team needs chemistry. Knott Central does not.
I've personally heard them talk about each other. Kendra being one talked about.
I've seen her play. Shes good, but she isnt going to any big schools. Maybe she could come off the bench at some small college. MAYBE alc.

Do what? When dealing with girls sports you have drama.

You are right about the chemistry part. A team has to have it to accomplish anything. As for the drama it happens every where some teams are just better at letting it slide. There will always be someone on a team anywhere that gets picked at or talked about because they try harder in practice or something of that nature. As for Kendra no one ever said she was going to play at a big college. I believe Kendra is one of these kids who doesn't care if she gets a scholarship to play ball somewhere. She wants a good education. Yes I am sure if she got to play somewhere that would make even better but what athlete isn't like that?

I agree with you. She is a young kid that gets better soon and enjoys her Sr. year.

No more Mosely at KNott, the Lady Patriots will be lucky to win double digit games unless they are going to play the 3 rivers schedule! No one to handle the ball equals losses for them. They will definitely miss her and struggle for a while. Did anyone happen to see there 8th graders coming up? Not a very strong showing in the tourney last year.

She got to play, a whole lot. She started varsity every game last year. She doesn't score much but grabs 8+ rebounds a game.

You know actually they had a very good showing in the touranment. Their JV went undeafeated this year along with their Freshman team. and YOU WILL NEVER SEE KNOTT CENTRAL PLAY IN THE 3 RIVERS CONFERENCE....EVER..PERIOD. Yes they will miss Mosley a lot but they will be ready. THey have the Perkins girl to play point, and even Thomas if she has too, once she gets back. Perkins has been working hard, to get better.

You are right that is why their JV and fr. teams did not loose a game. Looks like the future of KCC is not good. Are you catching the sarcasm.

Yes King can shoot the lights out. She suprised A LOT of coaches and teams last year. It is like she came from no where.

I hope the best for Kendra, she is a really good ball player, and I would hate to see her go down like that. My prayers are for Kendra, and the season ahead of her. Good Luck.

I talked to a couple of people who know Kendra pretty well and they told me that she is looking forward to surgery and getting back healthy. They said she has a good attitude about all of this and wants to do whatever it takes to get back and play. I do believe she goes for surgery in the next couple of weeks.

Why knock the 3 rivers conference??

There isn't anything bad about the three rivers conference. It is a very good thing especially for these teams who have trouble competeing with teams like Knott Central, Perry Central, Letcher Central, Breathitt and so on.

That is good news, with that determination she will be back on the court in no time.
