You are the biggest complainer about the two schools not respecting each other. The reality of it all is that you are probably the biggest instigator of trying to get some sort of stink stirred up.
Try Growing up for once!!!!!
You know Kimball I think I will actually agree on this one with you. Don't get me wrong i've been known to say things in regard to Paintsville playing SV, but never about JC. They are one community and we all ***** and complain on here because they do things to intensify the rivalry, but the fact is that there are middle aged men on here trying to stir it up even more. I don't know if "watchful eye" is middle age or not, i'm just saying that the kids have been acting more grown up lately than the actual adults involved.

I'm not so sure he's a man...
Either way, as Kimball said, they always want to cry about the rivalry, and they are the #1 person on here ALWAYS bringing that talk to the table.
Anyways, congrats Tigers, and best of luck next week. Great job finally getting to where ya want to be.

I will say this, those shirts were very disrespectful. I'm actually suprised the band director let em wear those shirts.

Cant understand why do dont see that. If you did not repect someone for the threat they posess then you wouldn't waste the time with his image, you would find something else. IDK, maybe it's just my way of thinking.

A local business person was asked to pay for the shirts for the team. Ballsy, yes, chancey, yes, but only if you are really superstitious enough to possibly think that it would lose a game. The team knew nothing about them. Besides the person that had them made did not pay so I guess they were not as worried about the waste factor(spending someone elses money is a lot easier)! I do know who designed them and actuall thought they looked sharp! What do you think?

I saw the person that brought them out after the game and I know she didn't pay for them.

In My Opinion Wrote:I saw the person that brought them out after the game and I know she didn't pay for them.Like we said....it was a local business that paid, but thanks for the poor attempt at a jab to someone. But that person has spent quite a bit out of their pocket and has not asked for a dime, just doing what they thought was nice for the team. They also drive all over eastern Ky picking stuff up for the boys and we all know how expensive gas is. But go ahead and jab away, but make sure you don't put yourself out any.

The shirt design was an idea (saved for quite some time) combined with an existing design... It was done thru the kind folks @ The Shirt Gallery. They do a wonderful job!
You know it was actually a couple of businesses and/or private contributors. I've seen that done before though...
Was it a ballsy move, I guess you could call it that, I call it good planning!

I wouldn't mind gettin' my hand on one of those shirts....look awfully good. I seen on WYMT after the S. Laurel victory they had championship hats...so other teams had this planned also and not just Paintsville.

A shirt worn by JC band members with coach Runyon's picture on it that said "Bill Mike Runyon Fan Club" aint disrespectful.

No I really dont. If obsceneties were directed at him or his family I would agree, but this is not making fun of the man or anything of the sort. It's nothing more than playful jabs by kids. Just like what goes on on here. You are taking this way more serious than you need to. I dont think there is another Paintsville fan on here that seems to be offended. I would think that if someone from Paintsville wore a shirt with the same wording directed at Tommy McKenzie , all you would get out of Tommy would be a chuckle. I'm sure that BMR himself would not be offended in the least.
Man these are just kids. Leave it at that and accept it as being nothing more.

With this rivalry the way it is were all lucky both sides didn't come out with something much worse. I'm proud of the kids for keeping it somewhat respectful as they did.

The JC band shirt I saw was a picture of BMR with a cartoon caption of him saying something like "I wish my band was as good as the JCHS band". May not be word for word what was on it---but that was the gist.
