As for the coach of the year -I know that it is voted on by coaches ONLY in the 15 region. So the coaches in the 15 must have thought different because like I said they are the ONLY ones that vote.

They only vote if they are a member of KABC. The more members of your staff that are members, the more votes one school gets. More times than not I see this one being whacked.....a joke............many times the most deserving does not receive it. I can name about 5 I thought were more deserving than Isaac.
But, back to the original topic. CONGRATS TO KAYLA LOWE! YOU ARE MOST CERTAINLY THE BEST PLAYER IN REGION 15!!!!

I dont know if this happens at other schools but the school has to pay for you membership and they only pay for the head coach. I may be wrong and you may have all the answers but I think that only the head coach can vote so I don't see a great big JFk scandle and this was planned. As for me the coach of the year if in 15th should've been Rodney Rowe hands down!!!! If anyone knows of another coach that has taken BOTH a girls and boys progam to the All A state Tourn. please let me know. Nevertheless, I don't think this is something that one school can control if so how could SF do it. It is not like they have twenty coaches.

I would like to post as before and agree with you in that this is about Kayla and nothing esle. It amazes me that people get on this site to be negative when ever they can We are from the moutains and should wish the best for any player or coach from the moutains instead of trying to put them down. Kids and coachis put a great deal in it and I just can no understand why people get on this and try to talk negative about anyone from the moutains. Unless I guess you dont live in the moutains and you like doing this. This kid needs to get the attention she deserves. Gook Luck Kayla you are a great play

I guess you are right!!! but do you knot that you are not allowed to vote for a coach from your school. You HAVE to vote for someone from another school. But i guess SF fixed that as well!!!

I agree because like i said below, please name me a coach that has taken a boys and girls team to the All A other than Rodnye Row.

Last post about COY because the thread should remain about Kayla. If you have 10 coaches at your school and they all pay the $10 they all get 1 vote for POY & COY. End of my input on this.

I agree this being about Kayla and well deserving for Player of the Year in the 15th and also I think one of the better players around the 12th thru the 16th regions. If someone feels the need to discuss the Coach of the year start another thread. Let's get the facts correct on who can and does vote though if one is started. If the voting was the done with each coach at the school getting a vote ( as many as ten ) then it would work both ways in the player vote as well as the coach. Tony Isaac doesn't deserve to be bashed because he was the recipient of an award and the ballot I saw were for only the coach and player with one vote allowed by the coach. South Floyd didn't get 10 or even 2 ballots for the girls. Tony sure didn't vote for himself either but I would venture he did for Kayla.

Did he take both teams this year; if not, then your post is irrelevant. It's based on this year. In my county, the coaches pay for their own membership; as to how many do, I don't know. I doubt there's some big conspiracy. Several coaches were deserving, but only one can get it.
It's not a big deal.
Congratulations, Kayla. You are very deserving of this award.
