prestonsburg has soem very talented freshman that aint got much size except for one player doug weil..hes strong big and powerful but if he dont get his head right then hes going to have problems..but bobby hughes is a very good quaterback for pburg..he runs like trevor compton and throws like david shaffer..nathaniel stephens would have been some big help for the freshman team last year if he didnt get hirt in the frist game of the freshman season...matt blevins, darrin lawson, brandon holbrook were some very good players this year for pburg...holbrook and lawson would destroy people on the other side of the ball when they played pikevilles freshman tim or ted one of them that played nose guard had soem trouble with these 2 boys he got up slow but he gave them a good match though...

I Agree

I might be being biased here... But Travis Bartley was great for the ER Freshman last year, and a very big part of that freshman team's success.

Yeah, Travis Bartley and Brad Branham were the heart of our freshman team last year.... both of them were on fire during that Pike Central JV game...

Doug probably ran him over and then tripped over him

if the honakers were so good how come they both stood on the sidelines for pikeville
03-27-2005, 12:24 PM
they didnt stand on the sidelines for Pikeville...get your facts straight bub
Ted played D-Line a lot during the season and they both were on every special team there was and Tim saw action at running back (in case you dont remember, throughout the playoffs they played running back in westons spot) i dont exactly call that standing on the sidelines

Ashland's RB Matt Thomas, no doubt.

Probably the best talent, but Corbin's Clint Cashen had the better year.
They play two different positions though, so its hard to compare.

At Southwestern we have Rb/Lb Zack Lovins who is destined to be a star...

The top frshmen I saw last season was Chasin from Corbin, the fullback for Somerset, and Joe Roskropf of Lynn Camp.

I totaly agree on the Joe Nichols statement......he didnt drop ne balls last year and had more then 1 50 yard catch.......i know he had one game where he had more the 100 yards recieving......i also heard from one of my friends that plays for PC that J.Nichols only dropped 1 or 2 balls in practice all season including summer

joey buckley is a pretty good d-back he has pretty decant speed he just needs work on pass coverage
05-18-2005, 08:37 PM
Q.Merchant is a very good D-back for the hawks.......he could improve on pass coverage but that will come with expierience and coach Mac will help him with that.......but he has good run defence
