How will the Lady Hornets look in 08?
02-27-2008, 02:20 PM
How many players they have coming back from last year team?
02-27-2008, 02:47 PM
I think they will be lucky to win 10 games, they only won 9 last year.
02-27-2008, 02:56 PM
I agree

They played a very tough schedule last year.

They will struggle this year, but I think they have alot of talent to work with for the future.
Good Luck Lady Hornets

Lady Hornets are very young this year, but I think they will surprise many teams.
Most of the girls played in Babe Ruth Softball last year and gained lots of playing time and experience.

I heard that several players had quit the team. That Coach Holbrook is really tough on the players. maybe 10 wins is too many to expect for this team this year.

Every player has to go through conditioning. The ones who stay are the ones who really want to play.

The Coach needs to be understanding that players have other things besides softball in their lives.
03-27-2008, 07:55 AM
I think some of the girls should quit the other sports and play a sport they truley love, Softball.
03-27-2008, 01:59 PM
I think its not about having things outside of sports that a coach should worry about...it should be about making the players he is given a good ball team. Yes kids have other things they could do but if they want to play a sport your life should adjust and if you want to do good in the season then you have to eat, sleep and breath softball...you cant just have lazy practice and expect to play good! I think every coach should be tough on the kids...it will help them in the long run

It's just a game, Then coaches should eat, sleep and breath also. The girls didn't practice Monday before P-burg game because Coach was out of town. That dedication.
03-27-2008, 03:37 PM
Is the Combs girl still pitching for Magoffin?
03-27-2008, 10:53 PM
no she isnt pitching. she quit. but the pitchers they have are good.

Coach didn't figure he needed to practice since MC #1 said the Hornets would get beat in 5 by P-burg. Guess he figured he should go ahead and throw in the towel.

Just 3 more wins and the Lady Hornets will reach codeman and MC 1's prediction of 10 wins this season, you guys are right with the program.
04-12-2008, 03:57 PM
I can see Magoffin winning 15 or 16 games this year, they really hit the ball

Give these girls some encouragement or change your name . you are NOT a real Hornet fan from what i have read with your post that has done nothing but put the girls and coaching staff down. BTW did you think maybe the coach had an appointment was the reason he didnt have practice

I think the Lady Hornets and new coaching staff are doing all right this year.

I Agree with THE FAN to have a name like MC #1 you sure dont support the hornets unless MC stands for morgan county or something else. I think the girls are doing good this year and and i think the team is well coached. Just do your best lady hornets and we will all be proud or at least i will.
