Martin Co. beat Paintsville in the Championship Game today.

MC 47 Paintsville 42

Was a very good game. We had "Ts" and Buzzer beaters.

Paintsville was delt a blow when their Bigman Daniels was handed his 4th & 5th fouls before a 60 secs had even ticked off the clock in the 3rd. MC shot 28 freethrows to Paintsville's 14.
Paintsville cut the lead to 2 with less than 30 secs to go. MC came down the floor and only GOD knows the answer to this one. Why in the HECK did #15 fire up a 3 ball with 17 secs left? He made it.....But, if that was the plan...that had to be one of the craziest coaching moves I have ever seen. If the kid did it on his own and I was coach...he would have enjoyed the rest of the game (even if it went 4 OTs) from the end of the bench. Why would you take a risk like that in that situation? If he misses...You give the ball to Paintsville with a chance to tie it or win it. Just wasn't a smart move IMO.
But, Congrats to both teams. Paintsville played their hearts out today! Good job guys. Was a pleasure watching.

When you have a player like #15 you live and die with him. He took the shot on his own but if you knew him as well as I do you'd know that he would have just said "I was filling it coach". It was one of those shots were your going no no no, yes! My kids did a great job this year and I am very proud of everyone of them. I hope that they can help SCHS turn things around in the next few years!

Feeling it or not it wasn't a very smart shot.

Regardless of the shot or time. I'm sure the coach let him know that it wasn't the best desicion and the best thing about it is I bet it won't happen again.
