I find it a little suprising that Slone only had 15. Vanhoose had a good game to make up for it though.

Nice win Paintsville!!

Landon was perfect on 2's going 3-3, but went 2-7 from three point land and 3-4 from the stripe. Tigers shot an awful lot of 3's in the game. They will need to look for some better shots tomorrow if they want to have a chance of defeating Bardstown. Bundy had a pretty solid game from the PG position. He may have only had 3 points but his defensive hustle and passing ability made up for it. Congrats on the win Tigers.

Landon had 12 rebounds. I think that makes up for it.

Congrats on the win. The field looks pretty weak this year outside of EKY excluding UHA with ol' McCoy at the helm.

i said a long time ago he was streaky, he doesn't hit that 20 point mark every game like someone else stated he did.

I bet this is the first time he's scored under 20 all year...Might have happened once more..

This was the first time he had scored under 20 points all year, uhavenoidea was right about that. What is your deal lil man, it don't matter what it is, you don't give anybody from Paintsville credit for anything. I guess you're still upset that 9 outta 10 people on here picked him as the best player in the region instead of Justice. Get over it dude.

Congrats Tigers. I listened to the game on the radio. They played a very sloppy 3rd quarter. Had a chance to put the game away when they went up by 19 early in the 3rd but Holy Cross went on a tear cuttin the lead down to 8 at the end of the quarter. Holy Cross started out the 4th quarter with a steal and dunk cuttin the lead to 6. That was as close as they got, Paintsville recovered and did what they had to do.

Good Luck against Bardstown, and remember you owe em one from last year. Play hard, BLOCK OUT AND REBOUND (that's what got em beat last year against Bards.). We'll see ya tom night.

Congrats Tigers!

Can't fault Landon in this game. He did what was necessary. Big rebounds by Landon were crucial in this game, with HC having the edge in height. HC played good D on Landon and Grimm was left wide open many times in the first half especially. Landon and the rest of the Tigers just made sure that he got the ball. A true state contender doesn't have the same high scorer each night or they aren't likely to do well. The good thing about Paintsville is that they play as a team (at least so far) and as long as the job gets done it doesn't matter who gets the most points. Tomorrow it may be Landon with 25 and Grimm with 15. Who cares as long as they are taking what the D gives them. Landon was a little off on his three point shooting or he would have had a few more points but it doesn't matter who scores what in any particular game as long as the Tigers as a team take what the D gives them. That is why they are hard to beat, they are balanced.

Congrats to all of the Tigers for doing what they do best. Great game for Grimm keeping the Tigers rolling in this game. Overall not a bad game, but very sloppy 2nd half by the Tigers. The Tigers should have been able to put in some subs in the 4th, but let up on their O and D focus and let HC back in the game. The Tigers never trailed though except maybe at the very beginning of the game.

Good luck against Bardstown!!
