Both teams played HARD. Pikeville played great til about halfway thru the 3rd. Paintsville played terrible til about halfway thru the 3rd. Clevinger is definately one of the top 5 players in the region, the heart and soul of the Panthers. ALOT of missed AND bad calls on BOTH sides. Adams should have fouled out about halfway thru the 3rd. Bell and Honaker got fouls called on them that Adams committed. NIETHER team deserved to lose, they fought hard teh entire game even when things weren't goin their way. There is no way Clevinger got the shot off before halftime with only .3 seconds left on the clock. Clevinger and Honaker both had great games, as did Bell on the defensive end. Landon and Grimm had great games, Bundy didn't score much but played a great game on both ends. Murray and J.D. both stepped it up in the 4th and in the OT's. All I can say is, I can't wait for March, it is no longer a two team race.
Congrats to Bart and the Panthers on a great tourney.
Congrats and Good Luck in Richmond Tigers.

Congrats Paintsville!! Great effort Pikeville!
I hope those **** refs never reff a championship game ever again!!!
I know the tigers took it to the whole alot tonight and got alot of free throws but wow they would call touch fouls, then not call the hard throw downs!!! Just crazy!!!

You know its always something when your team or the team your for loses...It dont matter how many excuses you make or what anyone says...What if this..the refs cheated...blah blah blah...there is nothing anyone can do about it...Paintsville is still the back-2-back all a champs and there still taking the trophy home with them..

yea it went in before the time expired but they didnt start the clock in time...You have to tip the ball in with under 0.4 secs clock left on the clock...

This was one of the most competitive games I have seen in a very long time. Amazing atmosphere. Congrats to the Tigers on the hard fought win. Pikeville had this one locked up early on it seemed like. Paintsville just never gave up. Great game to watch.

yeah but the call your talking about...The refs wont decide a game, they let the players decide it...Paintsville should've been ahead at the time, because the heave at halfcourt shouldnt have counted to end the 3rd...

To be perfectly honest, I watched the game on TV and didn't realize there was only .3 sec's left.
Great shot, but either way Paintsville still won

If Adams should have fouled out in the 3rd, then Grimm should have joined him!!

Why is that. Grimm is the one who attacked the basket all not and got hammered every time. Adams rarely got the ball down low unless he jumped over somebody's back.

The rule is that you can get a shot off with .3 left on the clock anything else must be a tip-in. But I have no clue as to whether or not he actually got it off in time. But still great shot.

Not the rule actually...its 0.4...Does anyone remember the derek fisher shot with 0.4 against San Antonio? He had to toss it...Clevenger caught it and then heaved it..no way it shouldve counted...

JMO but a few points to where Pikeville could have closed out this game were
#1 when Tim Honaker missed a wide and I mean WIDE OPEN Deven Adams on an inbound play in the 4th.
#2 The missed FF by Baker
#3 Patrick Keene's Poor shot selection in OT
Obviously none of those things happened but those were IMO the deciders.

IMO Clevenger took about the same amount of time to shoot the ball as did Fisher. JMO though I'm sure someone will disagree with me, but before you do remember it doesn't matter Paintsville wins either way.

Same thing been said for the past 4 years and they haven't even won a regional game yet with this group.

IMO, Definitely #2 could have changed it with only 10 sec's left. A 3 would have been much more difficult to make.

Not so fast, my friend......per NBA Rulebook: NO LESS THAN :00.3 must expire on the game clock when a player secures possession of an inbounds pass and then attempts a field goal. If less than :00.3 expires in such a situation, the timer will be instructed to deduct AT LEAST :00.3 from the game clock. If less than :00.3 remain on the game clock when this situation occurs, the period is over, and the field goal attempt will be disallowed immediately whether successful or unsuccessful.
It goes on to say that a "tip in" or deflection can occur with a minimum of :00.1 on the clock.

They played a great game and I wish them well at Richmond . I don't think I said anywhere in my post that the refs cheated. There has been several posts about non calls and I was just wondering how when a team goes to the line 33 times and the number of fouls called that what non calls that there was would even be an issue!!
Again, Paintsville played great and that have a great team and good luck at the state All -A
