56th district as of 1/26
#1
1. Estill 5-0( remaining game with lee at lee)
2. Powell 2-3 ( remaining game with owsley at powell)
3. Lee co 3-2 (remaining game with estill at home)
4. Owsley 0-5 (remaining game at powell)

Fro what i am understanding if estill beats lee and powell beats owsley then the seeding in the district tourney will go as follows
1. Estill - undefeated
2. Powell 3-3 (beat lee by 4)
3. Lee (Beat powell by 3)
4. Owsley (no wins)

Am i correct on this???
Im pretty sure since powell beat lee by more than they get the second seed if they beat owsley and lee co gets the third seed if they lose to estill....if they beat estill they get the 2nd seed just as if powell loses to owsley then lee will still have the second seed

It makes little difference who is 2 and who is 3, because 2 and 3 play each other. I think that Lee has a very good chance of beating Estill this Thursday night in Beattyville and if Powell plays like they did last night vs Estill then it wouldn't surprise me if Owsley wins that game even though it is at Powell.

But even if Lee and Owsley win their last games, Estill still is the #1 seed, Lee #2, Powell #3, Owsley #4. Last year Lee won the coveted #1 seed and lost to #4 seed Owsley in the first round.

All that matters is who is playing well come tournament time and I think the Bobcats are going to peak just right!

Powell always played better at home so more than likely they will take owsley in a easy one.....and i agree lee does have a very good shot at beating estill at lee co...lee can play very good at home......IMO i see estill taking district without any problems this year with powell getting the other entry into the 14th regional tourney

Powell does play better at home. Look at tonight, Powell played amazing! And I think Estill will win region and like you said, Powell will get the other entry in the into the 14th region.

If history is any teacher, Powell may have the greatest home court advantadge in the state. The district t0ournament is at Powell.

If I understand this right then Estill will play Ousley in the 1st round of the district and Powell will play Lee. If this is the case then I'd say Estill and Powell in the finals with Powell winning. I like Powell because they are playing at home. jmo

I'm thinking it will wind up with Estill and Lee advancing to the 14th Regional Tourney.

I would agree with you but the tourney is held at powell....that gives them a slight advantage just as if it was held at lee it would give them a slight advantage

I fell pretty good about Lee beating Powell at Powell in the tourney after watching Lee play Hazard and Powell play Estill this past week. 6'6" Pelfrey and 6'3" Campbell are improving by leaps and bounds. Hazard only outrebounded Lee by 1. This has been one of Lee's weaknesses and it seems that Coach Wright is getting through.

This is a different Lee team.

If Lee rebounds with Powell or Estill then they should have no problem beating either of them.

Just my opinion and why I think it.
