We all saw the Cats Pause Top 10 players preseason, but now that the season is half over, there have been many surprises, and disappointments. I would like to hear what you guys think on who is the top 10 right now. Mine would be
1. Landon Slone- Paintsville
2. Elisha Justice- Shelby Valley
3. Aaron Crum- Allen Central
4. Ashley Hatfield- Shelby Valley
5. Shane Grimm- Paintsville
6. Taylor Newsome- Shelby Valley (before the injury)
7. Devon Adams- Pikeville
8. Alex Hammonds- Allen Central
9. Michael Burchett- Prestonsburg
10. Logan Crowder- Allen Central
If you dont count Taylor Newsome since the injury, i'd bump 7-10 up 1 spot and put Blake Bundy at the 10 spot. Let me know what you all think

Jacob Bryant has to be on this list. He is the best passer in the region and is the best scorer from the post in the region. He was the best player on the floor during their win against Pikeville.

1. Landon Slone- Paintsville: The best player in the region hands down. He does it all and does it better than everyone else. The best player on the best team (right now).
2. Elisha Justice - Shelby Valley: One of the better athletes in the region and the straw that stirs the Wildcat drink. As he goes Valley goes. He dosn't have to score for them to win against the good competition, but he has to play well.
3. Shane Grimm- Paintsville: If not for Slone would be the most complete player in the region. He does it all and seems to really step it up when the game is on the line. Your typicall BMR coached player that can beat you on both ends.
4. Aaron Crum- Allen Central: He makes the Runnin Rebs go. He is as streaky of a shooter as there is in the region. You had better know where he is at all times. If he gets hot then you are in for a dog fight of a game.
5. Ashley Hatfield- Shelby Valley: Another good player on a team that at times is great. He is capable of taking a game over and plays as hard as anyone.
6. Tim Honaker - Pikeville: One of the top 2 athletes in the region IMO. Causes matchup problems because of size, speed, and strength. Could dominate a game on the glass if he chose to.
7. Dustin May- Belfry: Not having a great year as far as Wins/Losses go but is a good basketball player because of his toughness and how physical he plays. Pretty sure nobody in the region could tackle him as well. LOL
8. Taylor Newsome- Shelby Valley: Before the injury I really liked the way the kid played. Hate to see a kid go down this way. How bad is the injury?
9. Ian Welch- Johnson Central: This Golden Eagle is one of the 2 best athletes in the region IMO. Can jump out of the gym and is tough around the basket. If he gets you in close then you are usually done. Gets on the boards hard at times, must stay out of foul trouble for JC to be sucessful.
10. Alex Hammonds- Allen Central: Plays as hard as anyone you will see in the region this year. Your typical Johnny Martin coached basketball player. I like him because of how hard he plays so he makes my list.
2. Elisha Justice - Shelby Valley: One of the better athletes in the region and the straw that stirs the Wildcat drink. As he goes Valley goes. He dosn't have to score for them to win against the good competition, but he has to play well.

I don't really see how anyone can keep Jacob Bryant off of their list.

I see it like this.
1. Landon Slone- Proven scorer and all around good player.
2. Elisha Justice- Best ball handler the region has seen in a long time. Extremely good defender
3. Jacob Bryant- Best passer and post scorer in the region.
4. Shane Grimm- Heady player that goes 110% all the time.
5. Ashley Hatfield- Extremely talented and blessed with height. Great range to be 6'5''. Playing great right now.
Thats as far as I will take it because 5-10 can be debated all day...

To me Honaker or Adams aren't even the best players on their team. To me Matt Clevinger is the best player on their team. (Going by the Valley game)

1 Landon Slone
2 Elisha Justice
3 Shane Grimm
4 Arron Crum
5 Ashley Hatfield
6 Jacob Bryant
7 Dustin May
8 Ian Welch
9 Matt Clevenger
10 Take your pick- JD Vanhoose, Justin Murray, Blake Bundy, These three are role players that understand and accept their roles and are ready to do whatever is asked of them on a given night.

I think Vanhoose is a little too high, and Jordan Hall isnt even the best player on Pburg's team. I personally think Burchett should be up there before Hall. JMO. The rest of the list looks about right

So you would argue that Elisha is the 3rd player and not 1st or second?
