Bath beat Piarst 93-9 and Bath Co. (4-10) is not to good. My point Pike Central probably cound not help but win by a very large number. The starters didn't even play one quarter.

There's no sense in playing basketball if you're as bad as this.

Agreed. Piarist may need to reconsider their future in basketball.

I agree.^

I mean, you do not have to play in a district if you do not want to am I right? Is there anyway that they can play like Christian schools from surrounding states like most christian high school football teams.
#10
i dont see a problem in the score if the starters didnt play that much..but congrats to pike central
#11
Wow! almost triple digits there....Great job Central!!
#12
Congrats Hawks!

Piarist probably had the best team in schools history last season, but now there back to the way they used to be... Keep your heads up Knights!

that was not a good thing to say that could really hurt someone on their team..but they play basketball because they love playing the game just like the rest of us..so if they love the game then no they should keep playing and trying to improve

How can they really love the game if they're getting beat like this?

You can't tell me that they love losing like this. And Piarist rarely improves. When I was in high school they were this bad too.

There is no need for them to stop playing, yeah its an easy win for there opponent but I'm sure that even if the girls aren't real talented I'm sure that they love going out just to have something competitive to do.

No need in just dropping a program, just because they don't win or keep up with every team they play.

They aren't "boys" this is the girls team.

They have lost every game, and even lost a game to Bath Co. 9-93 (that's not a very competitive score).

That can't be good for your self-esteem.

Point still stands.
#19
yes, it would be awful coming into almost every game knowing you are going to lose.

I just can't see how losing, and usually losing bad is having fun.

That's just me.

Well said BCS!!! I agree 100%
#22
I would say that is a big margin to win by I could see running the score up like that if it was senior night of homecoming something like that not a regular season game
#23
is it a large margin yes but, what do you expect them to do. They took no cheap baskets in the second half they had to have at least 3 passes on their offensive end of the court in the 2nd half to even shot the ball. I mean Butcher can't tell his team to just not shot the ball when, the JV team played practically the entire game.
#24
I can see how many of you could say that the score was run up but I can attest that hardly any defense was played...from the middle of the 2nd qtr on, PC played a 2-3 in which they could not come past the foul line...when there was a loose ball, no PC player went after...if there was a fast break, they had to bring it out and let Piarist get set up in their defense...Butcher even said at one point in the game, "What else can I do? Is there anything else that I can do?"
#25
Keep your heads up Knights!
#26
If piarist wants to play ball just let them play and have fun!

That's just me.[/QUyes winning is a good thing and everybody should strive to be the best but even though you might not be you can still love just being there playing..give them a break
