The Cincinnati Enquirer is reporting that the Reds have hired Walt Jocketty, former general manager of the St. Louis Cardinals, as a "special advisor" to owner Bob Castellini.

In my opinion, this is a great move. For the most part, he made great decisions when he ran the Cardinals, and his wisdom can do nothing but help the Reds as they hopefully build a contender.
