LCC just gave this one away! Plain and simple! I thought LCC coaches had an EXCELLENT GAME PLAN tonight and the boys played it well! JBS is just so good at playing with there backs against the wall! Congrats JBS, and to LCC, this game says everything that you need to know and how good you can be!

Great job JBS

JBS had to play a little more than most thought.

Congrats Jbs.......way to show that your a team to beat in the 14th LCC

JBS had the biggest size advantage that I have seen a team have all year and as usual they decided not to use it. LCC shot extremely well and passed the ball better than any team I have seen all year. Good luck to both teams this year.

I didn't expect this one to be very close. Congrats JBS on the win and to LCC on a great effort.

Yeah I seen Tate shoot maybe 6 times tonight!

good win JBS

Wow, closer than I expected. I knew LCC has been playing much better but didnt think it would be a 7 point game and LCC leading by 12 in the 3rd. Great effort Cougars and Congrats JBS.

I dont know what the heck kind of defense jbs is supposed to be playing. what ever it is its not working very well at all. If we hadnt hit several good shots in the 3rd and 4th quarter we would have lost this one. I wonder if the steps have ever heard of man to man. I think it would work much better. There is no way that you can tell me a team of this caliber cant match up and play an effective man to man. I think this crap that we are playing for defense is running our boys to death and one of our greatest weakness. I thought letcher played very well, and proved that no opponent should be taken lightly.

That score can't be correct. I remember reading on this forum where JBS was going to run away with it in the first few minutes...
"Should be a good game for the first 2 minutes or so. When our guys get their legs stretched and get a feel for the game, then LCC will suddenly be finding themselves falling behind rather quickly."
"I was thinking it would take about 1 min. to get stretched out. It will be over by the 4 min. mark of the 1st quarter."

Everyone needs to read the new sticky thread on JBS before posting any further.

JBS played that bad and that is the best LCC has played all year. JBS still won.

Blair shoots 6-18 and LCC shoots 37% in the second half. They can play better. Can JBS? They shoot 65% in the second half on their home floor.
We will see on the 18th.

I commend LCC for their efforts in this game but the game on the 18th will not be this close.

congrads to jbs on good win

I bet no one would have predicted JBS would be down 6 at halftime. Sounds like LCC played great in the 1st half. R. Justice is a good coach and knows what he's doing. As for LCC shooting 37% the 2nd half, IMO, JBS's defense had to have something to do with that. Anyway, this game was much closer than just about anyone predicted. I'd say a lot of people in the 14th will take note to whatever LCC done in the first half of this game, because it sounds like they may have exposed a weekness or two of JBS. Congrats JBS good comeback!

What percentage did LCC shoot in the first half? JBS can and will play a whole lot better the next time...

I know there was every coach in the 14th there to witness what LCC done the first half! Just an excellent game plan IMO!

The game plan came up a little short.

Doing this thread I have not seen anything mentioned about #13 for LCC { apologize for not being good on names}, whom according to my stats while watching the game, was 6 for 9 from behind the line, and took great shots in the flow of LCC offense.
01-04-2008, 01:10 PM
I actually listed #13 as one of the best shooters in the mountains in a thread! Josh Proffitt..we call him J.P.! Looks are deceiving when you see this kid, but YOU BETTER NOT LEAVE HIM OPEN or it is 3 for sure!

Good game LCC

Sorry about that playboy5, didn't mean anything offensive, but congratulating Profitt on a well played game. Being an old coach and a fan of mountain basketball, it was good to watch a player let the game come to him and his play was nothing but a compliment to the rest of LCC's offense during this game.
