Your Thoughts?

Who Knows... A LOT of good teams in it. Anything could happen from here till Feb. but as of right now I'd say JBS but a lot of teams will be ready by then!

Jbs From The List You Have But Estill Is Better Than Some Of The Teams You Have In Your Poll
12-22-2007, 11:54 PM
Estill dont have a chance, get real. Its gonna be Hazard or JBS.
12-22-2007, 11:59 PM
Then why didn't you limit your poll to two teams?
12-23-2007, 12:03 AM
Because I was giving people from different regions a chance to vote on their teams.

I think they're alot of good teams in here, but if i had to choose it would be Cordia, JBS, KCC, and Hazard....I probally couldnt choose between these 4....

Everyone is saying Hazard or JBS but after watching Cordia in the Jenny Wiley Tournament no one better be over looking them. Cordia is a good ball team.

JBS, Hazard will be the only team that has a shot at knocking them off.

Are you saying the other teams arent as good as JBS or Hazard?
12-23-2007, 03:47 AM
As of now, I'd go with June Buchanan... Hazard and a few others aren't to far behind JBS though.

Yeah pretty much, Cordia would probably be the next best, but havent impressed me very much. Definitely not enough to come close to JBS or Hazard

I thinK JBS will win but the only team IMO that can beat JBS is Hazard.

I think JBS has got to be the favorite at this point in the season. They beat Cordia by 29 less than two weeks ago.

That was only Cordias 2nd game of the season, jbs would bout beat anybody if it was their 2nd game.

JBS is the clear favorite with Hazard bringing in 2nd. No other teams are real contenders in my opinion.

I think Cordia and Hazard would be a close game, Cordia plays just as good basketball as Hazard does, and it wouldnt surprise me if they did beat Hazard.

I have not seen either team play this year. It looks like JBS would probably be the favorite right now. I remember in 2004 when Warren Central started the season with a 4 and 5 record and ended up winning the state championship that year. Maybe by the end of the season Cordia could do the same.

Lee County and Powell County are better than 3 or 4 of them.
I suppose the 56th district doesn't exist in Pollville.

Of course JBS and Hazard are the top two teams in most people's opinions, but other schools were listed in the poll as well. The 56th district wasn't included. Someone must have forgot that Perry Central, for instance, had to hit an almost 1/2 court shot to tie their game with Estill and send it into overtime, whereas PCC was able to go on and win by 1 point.....at PCC! Estill is no less than the 4th or 5th best team in the region, but since they're from the 56th district I guess it doesn't matter.

i think jbs is most likley going to take the region but i wouldnt count out cordia they are a very nice ball team
12-24-2007, 01:34 AM
If PCC was able to beat Estill, Estill must not have been playin right if they are supposed to be soo good
12-24-2007, 11:59 AM
Cordia may be playing good basketball, but i don't think they are in the class of JBS or Hazard.

Lion Crazy Wrote:I think Cordia and Hazard would be a close game, Cordia plays just as good basketball as Hazard does, and it wouldnt surprise me if they did beat Hazard.I have watched both of these teams play and I agree that Cordia could easily beat Hazard. Hazard may improve before the end of the year because they do have a very good coach in Al Holland but they just dont have the team that they had last year. It is hard to replace someone like Justin Hicks and he was such a big time player for them. I can see 3 or 4 teams beating Hazard in the region but I have not seen anyone to this point that can beat JBS....

PCC beat Estill with a half court shot to send it to overtime, then won in overtime at PCC. So Estill can contend but probably not in JBS league! I just thought Estill should have been considered in the above poll.

I must say that I also am amazed as well that the 56th district is not mentioned. While Lee, Powell and Owsley are rebuilding somewhat they still have excellent coaches and will continue to improved as the year progresses. On the other hand, Estill County is 3 - 0 in district play and should have won at PCC. They are somewhat young and inexperienced but are improving more and more each game. Christopher and Cackling are two very impressive guards who are now putting together some excellent play. Christopher kid is intriguing to watch. Strong player who if he continues to hit the 3 will be hard to handle. Cackling is very athletic and strong on the offensive end. Wiseman and Norton in the middle are putting together double doubles with consistency. Good play from Napier and Hoover with Roberts a freshman beginning to developing into a nice player. Some of these kids played football so just now getting into roundball shape. If they develop I'm beginning to see Estill be in the mix. JBS, Cordia and Hazard are still the top teams in my opinion but Estill is beginning to put it together a solid potential to be strong in the 14th.

Estill wins on a neutral floor, and would win handily in Irvine. Ignoore it if you wish, but Estill has a good team.

Yeah I agree, Estill would beat PCC anywhere but John C Combs arena.Back had to hit a half court shot for them to even put in into OT.
