Sheldon Clark 7 Paintsville 4
#1
Paitsville had a 2-0 lead going into the 3rd when starting pitcher Matt Hensley had to come out due to arm trouble and the pitchers that replaced him pitcer horrible. Adam Davis gave up 1 run, JD Vanhoose game up 5 runs and Bryan Fairchild gave up 1 run. Brandon May started for SC and wen 5 1/3 giving up 3 runs(2 in the 1st innings) and then was replaced by Kyle Horn who gave up 1 runs. Then went 1-2-3 in the 7th to seal the win for the Cardinals.

The 57th is going to have several good games between the teams this year and looks like the District will be a good one when it comes around next month.
#3
Wish the Tigers and Coach Adkins could have pulled this one out, but like said before the 57th district will be one to watch for years to come.
#4
The 57th is the toughest district in the 15th. With 3 teams that could win the region and only 2 other teams who have a chance, they are Pikeville and Allen Central. No other district has more than one regional contender. The 57th may be one of the toughest in the state. To start the season Johnson Central was ranked 13, Paintsville was 37 and Sheldon Clark was 56 in the preseason Coaches Poll.

Matt hasn't had enough time to prepare for the season, he has only been practicing 2-3 weeks, going out there and pitching is tough when you haven't been throwing very long, Matt will come around soon and will be a force to be rockon with.

I agree with you and in previous years and years to come playing with matt and having a close eye on his pitching it always gets better during district and region. Someone may say that matt isn't haveing a good year than lets go to the stats. his era is .44. he has allowed one run and pitched 21 innings with a total of 13 Ks. If you can't say that is a good pitcher i want you to show me a better 2nd man out there. Last year he was beating #1 pitchers and beating them and this year he is facing 2nd and 3rd pitchers in the rotation and dominating them.
