I said 90%. Some people are comfortable with Pikeville being down right now, and think everything is fine as is.

Mayo, no mater, millard, taped up rec specs, holes in the wall, now that is funny. Questioning my wife's intelligence just isn't right. Look how far she has come just since she met me. We are real lucky to have each other and I appreciate all the kind words. I am real excited about next season. With what is coming up and what we have coming back I feel pretty good about the present and future of PHS football. I am looking real forward to my challenges that await me when we get started back.

Coach Gravy...I wish ya the best of luck with the line next year and you definitely have some talent there...Moose and Trey will be fine and with work Ben Staggs should really be tough. Just keep doing your thing and the rest will come along...your a big part as to y Pikeville's line play continued to get better each week this past season. As long as you are there i have faith in the fat boys!

IMO Pikeville will be really, really good next season. Due to Harmon staying at HB and Marvin Lee moving to Full back after having to set out a year because of burns. Blake Branham will haved to due alot to make up Tim Honakers footsteps at the QB postion. Chaz was also a great player. Josh Mullins for him right?

Marvin has the size but JR has the speed and both can block. Whoever doesnt start at FB out of those 2 will start at guard and JR has the experience at that postion having started 6 games at guard this year while Comer was hurt. The line, the blocking backs and Blakes progression will be the big factors in whether the offense will be successful in '08 'cause we already know what Harmon brings to the table. The biggest ? on the enire team will be the defense and having to replace 6 of our front seven from last year. The only returning D-lineman from last year is senior to be Trey Branham who has been the anchor of the O and D lines since he was a sophomore. I believe Moose Anderson is ready to take the other tackle spot. DE is another question as at this point I see no clear cut favorite to take either side though Im confident that Coach Gravy can and will develop some good ones. The starting linebacking corps will feature some new faces and alot to live up to. JR Robinson showed flashes of brilliance last year and his potential and athletic ability has impressed everyone in the program. An off season of weight and speed gain will IMO cause that potential to come to fruition. Ross Mccoy is a true enforcer at OLB and has great athletic abilty. The kid has a great attiude as well. The good news is that the entire secondary returns. Tyler Baker has shown promise but must get faster and more agressive to be more effective. Josh Mullins is a Headhunter of a safety but has the speed to cover nearly any receiver in the state. Daniel Harmon just as good on D as he is carrying the ball. James Cleary would get my vote as most improved Panther from the beginning of the year to the end last year and has the speed to be a shutdown corner. ALso there are some key resreves at DB with Taylor Ratliff and if Jay Martin can recover from a hip injury suffered in a JV game they can be solid contributors as well. With a talented 8th grade class coming up and some new upperclassmen who didnt play last year coming back. If a few ? questions can be answered then this team will be fine.

I know this is a long-shot, but i wouldn't rule out the chance of Houston Mcanallen coming back and playing for the Panthers...now that would be HUGE!

I agree with everything you say about the returning players. These boys have proven their dedication to this team and will continue putting forth the effort to become even stronger athletes. I feel that it would be to our advantage if a few more underclassmen listened to their hearts about playing football and decided to join the team.

I left JR out because of how young he is. yes your right he is a good runningback with both speed and power but is he ready to REALLY step up and play? I guarantee you know or can find out in 2 sec. :p - Same thing goes for Ross McCoy. just a sophomore next year. I wonder if he can do it.

Yea that would haved to be a miracle.
That boy was good at every sport and could run the ball no matter what. He would make Pikevilles team alot better. Wrong choices can change your life...

i hear that they are switching offenses again next year

I know for a fact that if it weren't for coach Anderson, the D-line in 2006 would not have been up to the caliber that they were.

Without Coach Gravy Pikeville's line would never have been as good as it was. He pushed them to the limit and would take nothing but the best from his players. Pikeville better hold on to him as long as they can and as long as he will stay around (which im sure will be a while)

Don't know why they wouldn't. He missed a year of sports. Good kid from a good family, and deserves a chance if that's what his family wants for him.
