I would rather see Breathitt play on the road than at home because the mindset is more focused. Belfry is stacked, and should win, but Breahtitt will not be intimidated by the atmosphere.
G/l to both teams on making it this far o and the 13-0 records but belfry will win state.

We all know what we may want it to be but I have to agree with them. No way they score 42 on Belfry. I say the Bobcats won't score more then 14 next Friday.
Belfry wins 38-12

I think you are right. I just got back from watching them barely score 20 against Russell and if Belfry is as good as it sounds from reading about them on these boards, then no, there won't be 42 scored by Breathitt.

Belfry will win this one....

Belfry by a lot.

Breathitt has proven against Russell that they know how to stop the big running teams. But can Belfry defend the pass? I say Breathitt has the edge.
11-24-2007, 02:42 AM
Well i think its gonna be a battle...a war....but with Belfry coming out on top bcuz i dont see breathitt stopping Dustin may and ivan lee at "The Cam"....so that being said---idc who wins cuz there is a mountain team at Papa John's....good luck to both!!!

I sure wish this could be "THE" game in Louisville! I think this will be closer than expected. I can't stand the Breathitt-necks, but they are a very talented bunch of kids. Of course though, Belfry has proven themselves more than enough time this year. I say Belfry by 12.
Belfry ---30
Breathitt -18

Ask Somerset if Belfry can defend the pass... They just basically shutout one of the best recievers in the state down... Ryan Preston had a great night, had (one) interception, should of had two, but Im not even getting started on that one this late, an one fumble recovery... For the most part he kept Cole in check all night...
Belfry beats Breathitt by atleast 3 td's....

Belfry all the way :flame:

They are better defensively, especially against the run than Somerset, and know how to play Belfry, as Belfry knows how to play Breathitt. It will come down to who controls the tempo of the game and has the fewest turnovers IMO. I think Belfry should be a 2 td favorite, but Breathitt can beat them if Belfry does not take care of business. Breathitt will be as ready as any opponant that Belfry has played all season.

Who really cares if you do not like people from Breathitt. There are bad groups in every town, whether it be in the Mountains, or in the city.

Cole had 1 TD tonight, against a cold, tired, want to go home, half backups defense. He got schooled twice tonight by Ryan Preston.
Corbin passes a lot, and they scored how many points on us?
****, surprise of all surprises, Somerset scored twice on RUN plays, a nice counter. Give credit where it's due, that #30 is a beast! And honestly, Cole is the fastest we've seen this year.
35-21 Belfry, and that's assuming that Breathitt is as good as their record shows them to be.

Belfry continues to roll... Go Pirates!
Belfry- 35
Breathitt County- 13

Belfry by a ton. Wont be close, Breathitt's high powered offense is non existent, 7 pts through 40 minutes against Russell ( Belfry is much tougher, they will be lucky to get a TD against Belfry). Belfry wont have the play calling issues Russell had and will put pts on the board like Russell should have tonight. Sick to my stomach, shouldn't have even been a game, go Pirates, please win state.

Anyway, what are the odds that Haywood gets the Breathitt vs Russell game film??? I'd REALLY like to know, so I can watch it
11-24-2007, 06:38 AM
IMO Breathitt wins by 3 points.
11-24-2007, 07:33 AM
Belfry by 3 td's

After watching the Russell vs Breathitt game and seeing Belfry several times this year I'm going to have to say Pirates. Unless Belfry puts the ball on the ground this one won't even be close. Breathitt nor Russell wanted any part of the Big Red Machine this year. Pond Creek will be rocking all week and Breathitt had better bring a better crowd than they did against Russell or it will be a sea of red.
Good luck to both teams.
Belfry: 42
Breathitt:6
