Attn: Belfry Fans going to Somerset

I will be in Belfry this week for Thanksgiving...Does anyone know what time the team is leaving. I am going to Somerset for the game, but would like to follow the buses down.

If anyone knows...please help

According to one of the football players (who is here at my house) they haven't told them exactly when they are leaving. I will however post an update as soon as he finds out!!

I hope you all have a good and safe trip all the way here to Somerset. I've made the long travel from here to Pikeville(Kimper is where I'm from) a million times and it never gets any shorter.

If you are not following the bus, remember that the football field is not at Somerset High School. It is located beside Meece Middle School.

It's right off of Route 80... You all can't miss it.

It would be nice if someone would post the directions exactly to the field.. Meaty, since you have been back to Kimper so many times, post the best route and a rough estimate of time?

It will take you about 4 hours give or take on a bus.

From Belfry go through Pikeville to the Water Gap exit and go Left. Then just follow 80 for the rest of the way through Hazard, Manchester, London, and then to Somerset.

As you enter Somerset just keep going on 80 and the field is right off to the left. Turn on Barnett Street at Meece Middle School and theres the field.

All the toll booths on 80 are now shut down so you don't have to stop.

I went to a little community outside of Somerset over the summer (Crab Orchard) and that was probably the worst drive I've ever driven, plus on the way back at night its horrible.

It's not that bad of a drive. I made it 2 straight days when I was a senior and Pikeville was playing baseball over there. But yeah, give yourself about 3.5 hours.

If I get off work Saturday, I plan on going back to Pike County and going back to Lexington on Sunday...I will know Wednesday

But if I cant get off, I will have to drive back to Lexington friday night....should'nt take but about an hour or so once I get back on I-75 north.
