I think he was joking (I hope).
Anyway, I would love to see Shelby Valley pull off the shocker, but I don't see it happening. P-Burg sounds like they are more comfortable with the new quarterback, which spells trouble for the Wildcats. In addition, Valley is coming off a tough, hard-fought victory over Bath County, while P-Burg is coming off what amounted to a glorified scrimmage. The Blackcats should be much fresher this week. I'll say...

What districts are you talking about? Certainly not the local 1A district, where they would likely be #2 behind Pikeville. Or even the local 3A district, where they would be no worse than #3 behind Belfry and SC.
How can Valley be terribly overrated? By what rating system? Name me one game this year that Valley was favored to win that they didn't do so. All of their losses were to more highly regarded teams. In fact, I recall many people on here picking them to lose to Pike Central at the beginning of the year, and to Bath County last week, and they won both. So if anything, Valley was underrated this year.

I think Burchett has had planty of time to settle in as P-burgs QB and that they will win by 2+ touchdowns.

no i wasn't joking cause all you people on here ar picking p-burg to win in a blowout, but it's not going to happen. P-burg better be ready this time around, cuse this is a different valley team coming in this time.

If I were SV I would alert the officials ahead of time about all of the bush league and dirty things that P-burg does. Just so there kids don't get hurt by a bunch of cheap shot heatherns.

Prestonsburg game and show you just how annoying it is getting to hear that SV will beat P-burg this time. If you're going to talk about it then prove it. If you can't walk the walk, then please spare us in talking the talk.

Prestonsburg throws no more cheap shots than the other team does, in that fact every team does it.

What about clawing of the opponents face or the twisting of ankles or worse yet the fact that they love to grab the private parts of their opponents. This is just disgusting to me and it all falls back on their coaches.

Where will the next game be at, if Pburg wins?

I don't know if any of this is true or not by I agree, its disgusting and something that I don't like hearing about as a proud supporter of this team, but I don't think it falls back on the coaches because you cannot always control what goes on out there on the field. But if the players where ever caught doing this on film I'm sure the Derossett's would take care of them in a disciplinary action.

If Prestonsburg wins they will have to play the winner of the Christian Academy Louisville/DeSales game. If DeSales wins, Prestonsburg will have to travel to Louisville, but if Christian Academy Louisville wins, its a home game for the Blackcats.
But I don't know the scenario if Shelby Valley wins.

If you aren't joking that's really sad. Picking Valley to pull off an upset would not sound crazy in of itself, but to say they will win by 70+ points (then later on to state that you're being serious) is nuts. Trust me, I would love to see Valley come away with the win, but I also know that P-Burg would have to be considered the heavy favorite. I'm just being realistic.
And for all you P-Burg people on here that like to paint all Shelby Valley fans with one large stroke, know that most of us do not think our team is going to waltz into Prestonsburg and blow out the Blackcats. I myself predicted a 36-8 win for P-Burg earlier, but I would be ecstatic with a 1-point win for SV .

You are right it doesn't always fall back on the coaches. But a coach can make a huge difference as to if it will happen again. I just keep hearing about it from opposing players and coaches. It makes me want to vomit.

I can tell you for certain that the coaches don't teach their kids to play dirty. I played against them for four years and I never thought they played dirty. They play hard and yeah some kids take cheap shots but every team has kids that do that. The coaches their are classy guys I have known some of them for years and I believe that most people that bash how they coach and how their teams play are simply jealous of the success that they have had. :booo:

Because Iam sure these remarks were made from players making excuses why they lost. Why is it that when a team loses it is either the refs fault or the other team was playing dirty. I just don't understand. It is FOOTBALL people. if you can't run with the big dogs then get off the field.

Almost every football game I have been to the last few years, someone in the stands or even the football programs themselfs video tape ball games. Can you put a video or anything up on youtube that shows this going on? If it happens like you say it does, then show the proof.
It's not the size of the dog in the fight. It is the size of the fight in the dog.

Have you lost your mind or did you have that dream? Because that is the funniest thing i have ever heard in my life. Valley couldnt score 84 points on Pburg's JV let alone the varsity. Pburg is going to take this one by atleast 3 or 4+ TDs.

They didnt even score a couple of weeks ago on Pburg and now you expect them to score 84.

Where do I send the game film?
Maybe it doesn't fall back on the coaches if 1 or 2 players do this but when 8 or 9 do it, it falls back on the coach. Year after year.
