College Football Rankings Are A Joke
#1
No 1AA college football team has ever beaten a D1 ranked team until this year when Appalachian State beat Michigan, the biggest upset in football history, maybe on any level.

Michigan remains ranked.

Michigan loses to Oregon, who's ranked decently high, but it's still a loss. Michigan's losses this year make them a joke of football, yet they're still ranked 12th in the BCS, and not above 15 in any other poles. Do they have to lose to an all-girls high school team to make them unranked?

College football's a joke. Playoffs are needed even if you don't consider that situation, but Michigan should never have a chance at the playoffs even if there was playoffs.

IMO Michigan should be ranked because they have won 8 straight games and they beat a pretty good Michigan State team today but I dont think they should be that high as of 12 but Michigan is a good team like or hate them. They'll give the Buckeyes all they want Nov. 17th but idk if they win but that'll be the game to show if they should be that high or not.

It doesn't matter if they're a good team because college football rankings are based on quality of wins a losses,

They should be ranked, they weren't up until just a week or two ago. They've beaten some decent teams.

They lost to a D1AA team, and Oregon.

You can't really argue that the loss to Oregon would hurt them THAT bad...but the loss to Appy state was horrible. I have never liked Michigan, But I think they deserve to be ranked. Didn't they beat a Penn St. team that was ranked 10th at the time?

Is there a handbook that spells that out to the voters? I thought computer rankings were based on quality of wins and losses. As far as Michigan goes, getting throttled by Oregon isn't such a bad thing now that they are ranked #3. LSU got beat by a team that isn't in the top 25 and they are still in line for the BCS title game. It goes both ways.
