Great job by the Sox. Pitching was outstanding all series. Anyone else surprised that Papelbon didnt get MVP? One other thing, how funny would it have been to see Manny trying to make the play on that ball hit by Carroll in the 9th, that Ellsbury made look cake?
Manny + line shot over his head to the wall = :Hammer3: & :getwell:

I am by far the happiest person on this site! Had total confidence and faith in my Red Sox and they pulled through for title #7! Congrats to the Boston Red Sox World Series Champs! Also congrats to Mike Lowell World Series MVP! Well deserved.

 Whats everyone so surprised about and saying Boston was the dog? Didnt they have the best record in baseball? Didnt they have an offense that was in top 3-5 of almost every category? Didnt they have a shut-down pitcher who is almost guaranteed to give you at least 2 wins in the series? Colorado sweeping thru an inferior National league in the postseason still cant make them a favorite over Boston after the season they put together.
I woulda loved to have found somewhere that you could get Boston as an underdog.
Can you say "CHA CHING"
Side note...The "experts" had Boston as more than a 2 to 1 favorite.

No contest and no surprise. Go ahead and pencil them in as the favorite in 2008!! Go Sox...
I think this year's team was better than 2004's without a doubt. The pitching is definitely better in 2007 and if Dice-K can be a better handle on pitching in a 5 man rotation next season, they will be even stronger!
