1. AC- Good pitcher (Tyler Turner) as well as fielding kids have played together all there lives se them as an overwhelming #1 team.
2. SF- Have to put them second just because of there pitcher (Scott Allen) and centerfielder Justin Slone.
3. BL- Defending Champs dont think they'll do.
4. PBURG- Not verg good at anything this year IMO

South Floyd will be good this year, Scott Devon Allen is a great pitcher and so is Justin Slone. It just depends if they have their bats going.

You must hate P-burg.
And not very good at anything this year? lol good one.

Louisville fan that was one of the worst post i have ever seen IMO
1) BL- They have the title until it is taking away from them and they have a good team.
2) AC- Also a good team but the reason BL gets the notch above them is because they have more depth in their pitching rotation.
3) P burg- They could be alright but the coach doesn't need to throw Hamilton to much and waste him for the tourney they just dont have the depth in the rotation for pitching either.
4) SF- Just hasn't had a good team for awhile now.

I dont have anything against Pburg just know that they are not up to the talent of South Floyd. SF will demolish them this year.

South Floyd is byfar the worst team in the 58th
Always have been at the bottom and i dont see them climbing up the ladder for awhile

South Floyd beat Pburg both games they played them last year so I dont see how you get that.

Prestonsburg isnt that great, but they will be better than South Floyd this year...
03-21-2005, 12:16 AM
South Floyd beat them last year and only lost one player I dont understand how they could be better.
03-21-2005, 01:42 AM
Pburg and SF split their 2 games last year

Terrible post, no basis for such comments. How can you list South Floyd #2 if in fact they have 7 weak spots. Scott Allen (Not a threat anyway) can't possible pitch every game. Justin Slone can cover a lot of ground but he can't play all the defense. AC and Betsy Layne should be the two teams in contention for the district title. Allen Central returns everyone, and Betsy Layne returns all but one, so just what is it you think they can't do. Prestonsburg will be a much better team than last year, Hamilton on the mound will make a big difference. South Floyd will be at the bottom.

South Floyd has a stacked infield this year. Nothing can get by them. And there outfeilders are Justin Slone , Shannon Hall, and Jess Staggs. So, we will definatly see about that one Nuge.

South Floyd has got back their field this year so they won't be playing at the homer dome this year so I expect them to win the 58th. And prestonsburg has no chance to beat South Floyd

I can't wait to see South Floyd play the way you guys are talking.....You make them sound the best team in the region...

there in the top 3 in the region

Let's not push it, we'll be good, we may be in the top 5 tho.

South Floyd beat p-burg both times that they played last year and only lost 1 person so i don't think p-burg will have a chance. they got the best pitcher in the 58th p-burg won't be able to hit him and the short stop (Ryan Johnson) is even better can't get it by that kid.

Lol....I don't even know what to say to that...They're not even top 10 in the region....I don't care if they didn't lose anybody...They were a joke last year and unless Tom Emanski came to Hi Hat in the off-season I don't see anything different for this season...

Just keep thinking that, same thing about having the best pitcher in the 58th.

Hamilton and Turner are both double the pitcher that Allen is, they r the only 2 pitchers in the district who can dominate a game, Allen just doesnt have the speed or control to dominate a game, he is a good pitcher tho, just not dominating, and definately not the best.
03-23-2005, 12:27 AM
He has the best speed in the district dont know if he is the best but do know for a fact that he has the best speed and throws a pretty good curve this year. Hamilton and Turner both have better control but to say allen cant dominate a game is ludacris in the scrimmage game he struck 11 of 12 batters out. u dont see that as dominating a game. The only problem i see with allen is that his fielders will become bored because of all the k's he will get. just IMO

What about the rest of the infield? Will anything get by them?

Just exactly did SF play in this scrimmage game the school of the blind

I watched about 30 balls go by that kid last year....

First of all Alfus nobody has said anything about Shelby Valley so youre input means absolutely nothing. No offense but I dont know how you know so much about south floyd baseball. Second of all no matter what the topic is we always somehow end up talking about how good Brenton Hamilton is. He cant possibly bat every time and play every position. Hes good but just from the addition of one player it will not make them a top contender in the region he will make them a lot better but a team with a 500 record at best.
