Well Rich Brooks has got the best motvational tool of all now. Hes got the "Nobody Respects Us" card to play.

I think Brooks, as well as the players, all realize they haven't done anything to really earn nationwide respect. Last season, they beat the teams they were supposed to (maybe with the exception of Georgia and of course Clemson). It was a really good 2006 season for UK, but what have they done to earn respect? They got destroyed by Louisville, they played 2 quarters with Florida, and they had one of the nation's worst defenses. Woodson is the best QB in the SEC, and one of the nation's top 5, IMO. Keenan Burton is underrated at WR, and Little is one of the best all-purpose yardage guys in the country. Everyone knows their offense can play with anyone. But IMO, until their defense plays on the same level as the offense, they won't be respected on a consistent basis, or on any basis at all.

Preseason respect and 50 cents will get you a can of pop. Who cares if they aren't getting respect right now? If they play well this season, the proper respect will come, and if they fall flat, too bad.
