Congrats to Betsy Layne... Kim Clark stepping up and hitting the shots at the end is what won this game.. she deserved the player of the year and MVP of the tourny!! Congrats to Kim!!

Pike Central beat themselves. Both times 24 hardly played they lost. She seemed to be only one that plays any defense out of the girls that played. She got in 10 seconds, 2 different times and rebounded the ball and blocked a shot and was pulled out. None of the starters topped that in the first half. Second half she didn't even come off the bench. What was Tussey thinking? Congrats Betsy Layne and Akers. You deserve it. You definitly played to win and as always, played both ends of the floor, not just one. Most people know, you can't win a game with just offense and no defense against any good offensive team. This was a coaching mistake in my opinion.

The hawks played like pure ****. They decide to play in the second half but againest good teams you cant do that. Betsy Layne came out and laid them out first half. Congrads to BL.

If # 24 for central was so Awesome then she would have been in the game you can't tell Tammy Tussey how to coach... shes been doing it a while and by being at the game I know why #24 wasnt in the game yeah she did get a couple of rebounds but it doesnt help if she gets striped that not only a rebound but a turn-over... I am sure that is what Coach Tussy was looking at.... You can say our post players that were in there wern't getting the job done.... they were on the floor and going up strong. But you got to want it to win it and BL wanted it bad!! You can't have your leading scorer have 0 pts in the championship game! So if thats your girlfriend you need to stop defending her and teach her to play a little bit of defense and that playing weak is to going to have her riding the pine with the 6th graders! :evil: :evil: :evil: :evil:

As for #24. She looked a little lost when she was in the game. If you or she isn't happy, just take her to B.L. Doesn't she live there anyway? Always blame a coach when you're not happy. Do something about it. Quit
Pike Central's post players need to learn how to jump, blockout and rebound...not mention score. It didn't look to me like any of them were on top of there game. Paige Lowe didn't even score and Kayla Lowe had 5 points. No answer to the B.L. seniors from the Pike Central players...had nothing to do with the staff.

Pike Central played terrible the 1st half. Post players for Central were shut down and they did not box out nor pull down rebounds. Its hard to win games when you spread out your offence when a team is in a 2-3 zone. Central came down against that zone took outside shots and only had 1 girl there to rebound apose to Bls 3 or 4. Central should have been running a diffrent type of offence against the defence IMO. 24 should have got to play some but not much she realy hasnt what i would consider porven her self this season. Coleman took a few bad shots but kept them in the game in the 1st quarter. I thought the best one for the Hawks was Brown but thats MO. Congrats to BL you all deserve it and GREAT COACHING.
