NBA Finals Prediction: Cleveland vs. San Antonio
#1
Earlier tonight Lebron James sealed his trip to his first NBA finals by knocking out the Detroit Pistons 98-82. How do you all think the Cavs will stack up against the defensive savvy Spurs though?

I think the series will go 4-2 Spurs. I hope the Cavs win, but I do not think they will pull it out.

P.S. Lebron is AMAZING. If the Cavs win it all, let the Jordan comparisons roll like never before!

The Cavs will win it 4-3 in game 7.

I would love to see Lebron and the Cavs get past an even bigger obstacle in San Antonio. It will be tough because the Spurs are playing awesome ball right now and are defensively sound as a team and anyone is able to shut down James, but the question is can they?

I will take Cleveland to get their first ever NBA Title in 7 games.

Im going with the Spurs in this one. James is supertalented and I think he is the best player in the game right now. Alot of people say Kobe is, but I dont agree. The way Lebron took out the Pistons pretty much single handedly, he has to be considered the best. Detroit needs to send Flip Saunders, Chauncey Billups and Rasheed Wallace packing and start building around Tayshaun, Hamilton, and Webber. Bring Larry Brown back if they have to.

Kobe scores, Lebron does it all.

He took over the series, and said "I'm the best in the game now, and, by the time my career's over, I'll be considered the best ever. This is my team, my series, and my league."

However, I don't think the Cavs have anyone who will be able to man-up against Duncan. Can Lebron overcome that?

I wanna say Cavs in 6, but the Spurs might be too overpowering in the halfcourt.

I believe I predicted the Cavs to make it here (yes, I picked the Mavs too!) Anyway, I'll take the Spurs in 6 games. It should be an uninteresting Finals unless LeBron just gets hot and really breaks in Michael Jordan household name territory. This could be the stage for LeBron to introduce himself to the rest of nation outside of Cleveland who he really is and possibly bring the interest of the NBA back to levels enjoyed in the Jordan-Bird era in the long run.
