They don't run the WYMT, they just won it last season. Sorry you weren't in it.

I wish Valley was in it.

I don't know. They may be in it. I'm just going by what someone else said earlier.

Yes

I enjoyed watching Valley play this year. Would like to see them back.

I think it is a shame that SV is not in the WYMT and they will have a very good team because they play good team ball..
#42
It appears that Pikeville is the only representative from the 15th this year. They should be very good though and should have as good a chance as anyone to win it.

If that is true, then that is just ridiculous to only have one team from the 15th. There are three regions in WYMT's viewing area, and each one should get at least two teams. If they were going to be completely fair, each of the 3 regions should have three teams 2 out of every 3 years, then two the other year.

I agree with you...the 15th should have had at least 2 teams and SV should probably have been that team.jmo

If that's true, they should have moved on to another 15th region team, not filled in with one from the 13th or 14th. Plenty of other deserving teams in the 15th.

I think they send out forms to the coaches first to see if they are interested in playing in the WYMT. If the coaches decide to apply then the applications are looked over and they try and select the teams that are returning a good group from the prior year. Many times the schedule of games makes it hard to participate for some schools. The 15th should have a few good teams but it is possible they did not apply.

i thought it was designed to feature 2 teams from the 13,14,and 15th region.

I guess that's true. But, I think there are very few teams in the 15th that would go there and get blown out. If they couldn't get at least 2 of the top tier of teams from the 15th, move down and take someone from the next tier. Would definitely be better than it becoming the 14th Region Invitational.
