Yes, it was a childish and immature thing for them to do. The bus was a disaster and smelled rancid today! I can't believe that kids would so willfully vandalize property that way without thinking twice about it. Someone called the board, however, from what I was told!

It was and I agree, BUT it was kids and no one knows who did it.
It was also childish for whoever put the whip cream on the newly painted bleachers at the BMS gym on the Phelps side too but you didn't see anyone calling the BOE over that.......

Well from my understanding it was none of the volleyball players...
It was most likely an immuture guy from Belfry wanting to act big.
It was wrong i'm just glad none of Belfry's volleyball players did it...

:letsparty Phelps did a great job last night as did Belfry. However, the person or persons responsible for the damage to the school bus I'm sure will be discovered. It just makes me sad that people think that it was funny to treat someone visiting Belfry school in that manner. I know that Phelps has just as much pride in thier Team, Coaches, school and community as Belfry. I know that not all people in Belfry are responsible for the actions of the punks/thugs or whatever you want to call them , but again mentioning the incident on BGR for different schools to read does not make Phelps look bad but it does reflect on Belfry. So even though the bus was creamed the volleyball team was not and I'm sure Phelps is looking forward to playing Belfry again. Futhermore, its time for people to remember that it's just a game and it should be FUN for both team no matter who the winner is . I'm proud of all the teams in the county and as we all know each team loves thier school and are proud of where they live. So I applaude all Pike County Teams. Great job to all the girls, coaches, bus drivers, and fans. May you continue to compete in the correct manner that reflect the true heart of champions.

If it was a Belfry bus, the same action would have been taken by someone.... mopping bleachers is a bit easier than cleaning sugary, melted cool whip out of the seats of a school bus.... do not try to equivocate the two.... NEITHER should have happened.... it makes the entire school look juvenile, but that is only my opinion. I would hope that my children grow up with parents who teach them better ways to behave than to vandalize property that my tax dollars pay for!

The boys who creamed the bus have been caught and the Principal at Belfry is taking care of it. Phelps was not the only people who told the principal about the bus, there was a Belfry teacher who say what the bus looked like and she also let the principal know. I agree it was not the responsibility of the volleyball girls to clean it up because they did not do it and NO ONE on the coaching staff or players for Phelps thought they did. As far as the bleachers getting creamed, I do not think it was a Phelps fan or player who did. When we were getting everything together at the scores table and talking with the assistant coach for belfry, two can were sitting on the bleachers and some young children were trying to eat it, which could have made them sick. I don't think it was the young children either, so who knows. Someone is just trying to put more strain between the two teams but what people does not understand is these girls really get along on and off the court and I for one hope it stays that way. They are both terriffic teams with great values and they do not need any outsiders trying to mess that up. I think both teams handled the situation wonderfully. Way to go girls!!!! Adults need to sit back and take lessons from the children in times like this. Both teams were hugging and laughing with eachother after the game. This shows how wonderful both teams really are.

If you will re-read, you will see that I was not whining, just making a point. I don't like seeing juveniles acting immature and I never said that it was the girls who did it.... I said it was immature and that I hope my children do not grow up to act that way.... Reread everything.... I was expressing my feelings on something the way everyone else on here does, but I was actually polite about it!

Exactly what I said - they get along and they enjoy the company of eachother. Forget about the bus because the girls and coaching staff have. Move on to more interesting topics. It seems more has been said about the whipped cream than about the great game.

I was over the bus last week.... until I was accused of whining about it LOL just wanted to clarify....

the funny thing is. belfry starts all of this. no one hated belfry until belfry started hating them. and belfry gets mad when they lose and tries to bring the other team down. so I think they deserve it
