Dont bucks horns supposed already shed by at least late jan. and early Feb.
Because this morning i was out in the woods and this deer came out and looked at his head and he was a giant 8 point buck. This kind of confused me because i thought they have alredy sheded their antlers:confused:

Yeah, they should of been gone by now. That deer could have poor genitics or not broke them off yet. Or it may have awesome genitics and going to be a monster this year.

I found an antler in my yard today... I would say my dog brought it in

I have seen several bucks this year that were still wearing their headgear in late march and early april. it is not uncommon for small bucks to keep their antlers a little longer, but the deer I have seen have all had at least very nice 8 point racks!! This would be a great question for a conservation officer!!
