I noticed someone mention a coach lifting the most at the school. I know it is off topic but do a lot of coaches lift with their players because most of them I have seen at games sure don't look like it? I think some of the coaches here at sheldon clark lift some but I think it is more with the wrestling team. Are there some strong coaches out there? Most of them look sloppy to me. Coach Copley--is he at Pikeville? Is he really strong and if so I am guessing he is young. Are there any other coaches that lift? How strong are they?
#16
Well at Valley we have COACH HAMPTON he would out lift any coach by a ton if they competed he use to be a powerlifter and competed but he lifts for us boys sometimes and reps like 400 bench really easy like 20 times if im not mistaken....
#17
There is no way someone is that strong.. besides when you guys played us last year I didn't see any coaches on your sidelines that looked like they lifted weights. Is this guy new?
#18
No he's not new and trust me he can and you must not had payed attention too close. He's a brute.
#19
I must not have because they didn't look that big to me. Is he the other coach that was going crazy when you guys played us last year. Are those two coaches like that all the time? Are they really that violent or are they just trying to intimidate people? Our coach gets excited but doesn't act like that---It would be hard to play for people like that--I bet they aren't very well liked by the players or parents

If he can bench 400 for 20 reps (close to 1/2 your 1 rep max) that put him at a approximately 800lb bench press. The strongest drug free bencher in Kentucky is JT Hall, benching about 570lbs. So if he has benched this much, he's one of the strongest drug free lifters in America, considering he doesn't take steroids.

Sorry my friend, but I must say this, you're credibility with me just went out the window.

Coach Anthony Hampton can't bench 400 20 times, SaunHampt was exaggerating. But, at one time, Hampton did hold the state record in the bench press, somewhere close to 500 at his time if I'm not mistaken.
#23
I asked him about it today he told me he could bench 400lbs. 8 and maybe 10 times, but i am wondering what Coach Copley lifts PIKEVILLE people.

I went to Coach Anthhony Hampton today during his weightlifting class, and this might be a little shocking to the people from PIKEVILLE because the great COACH COPLEY is so strong , but Coach Hamptons lifts are MAX BENCH:455 SQUAT:615 DEADLIFT:650 POWERCLEAN:315, I would love to know COACH COPLEYS to see how they compare and what program he might be using since he is just talked about on here like a GOD and why would somone bring up a coachs lifts when this thread was in the first place about the who lifts the most at your school. BUT somone from PIKEVILLE had to change the subject but i would like to know.

Words from Coach Hamptons mouth hiself "TO GET STRONGER IT TAKES YEARS OF CONSISTENCY AND HIGH INTENSITY EVERY WORK OUT, NEVER MISS AND NEVER GO HALF SPEED" those lifts i posted is something he has been working to acheive for 10 years and WITHOUT THE GREAT HORSE PILLS TO JACK YOU UP. I think players need to worry about their own lifts instead of their coaches because coachs are not playing anymore I think the ones on here talking about their coaches are afraid to tell their lifts because they might not be that good. Yes he does lift with us, to push us to make us alot stronger and our speed improve fro an example I lifted last season BENCH: 245 SQUAT: 405 POWERCLEAN: 185 DEADLIFT: 425 and now with the new program we have used that our coach is certified in BFS my lifts are BENCH: 315 SQUAT:530 POWERCLEAN:225 DEADLIFT:550 by the way my coach thinks i will be lifting 600 in the weightliftiong competition on the 28th of this month or i will be punished with even harder things to get me stronger he doesn't settle for any less.

:wtf1: I need a few more stats on you to believe these numbers. I have seen it to much with teens and bouncing to get more weight on their bench. Doing quarter squats or a 3" ROM and calling it a squat. Things of that nature.

What are you stats?

Bench should be touch and go. No bounce.
Squats your quads should be parallel to the floor.

Here are the stats of a friend of mine. 24 years old and a graduate of Duke University. Been at this for better than 8 years serious.

Stats!
-5'11", 225-230, 7% bf

-455/715/635 bench/deadlift/squat (tested)
-460/715/640 bench/deadlift/squat (predicted)
