Jamie McCarty from Johnson Central and Jeff Brooks from Louisville Doss receive MVP honors in the 2nd annual Kentucky East/West Senior Charity Game held at Transy Univ. on Saterday.

McCarty was selected from the East Team which included region 9 -16. Others who participated were Matt Daniel (Rowan Co.), Tyler Bailey (PPC), Justin Hicks (Hazard), etc.

Brooks was seected from the West Team (1-8 Regions). Coleman( Jefferson Town) participated, as well as many others.

Congrats on this great accomplishment.

Any stats?

I know McCarty had 15pts on the losing team. The Score was something like 129 to 80 something, with the West team winning. It was a like a 40-50pt game what ever the total was.

MVP, yea, Like the rest of the season, one guy, one cause to do it by himself. Where are all the colleges? Is anybody interested? He always thinks of himself when it comes to getting his points. Thats why JC was messed up this year, great team but to many people peying for themselves.

This was an all star game. So I am sure there were colleges out there scouting them. So I don't blame him at all for trying to get his points in an all star game. As for the season goes, JC didn't have much...

All star games. Jamie thinks he's the best period. He's not, the night he broke the school record he was counting points. A two to tie, but he thought about it and back up to hit the three to beat it. Worried about hisself to much. Team could have been better if all plays team ball. That is the reason they didn't have much.

I'll take five no namers that hustles, not one star.

It was an ALL STAR game the goal is not to pass 7 times and run a play and shoot. It is to make it exciting and SCORE< SCORE< SCORE. Hence the total score being over 150 pts. I watched Jaime play a couple of games and every time he played HARD. He didn't have a lot to work with on the JCHS team. Sometimes you do have to do a lot yourself. He was the best player and when the game is on the line, give the rock to the best player.
You sound like a jealous parent. You don't like to give any kids on here credit. I am not a JC fan but I do like to recognize good players from our area. Congrats Jaime. Great career at JC.

This thread is about the All-Star game and performance, not about the past season Johnson Central experienced so leave it at that please and stay on topic.

Congratulations to McCarty and Brooks. McCarty is a fine player. I'm not sure about Brooks, but to receive MVP honors of an All-Star Game, he has to be pretty "decent." HaHa
