Warren Central 71 - JBS 53
#1
A big congrats to Warren Central.
#2
Good try JBS. Better luck next time....if there will ever be one.
#3
Knew the score would be like this...Congrats to WC
#4
Clark Stepp had some strong words after the game and said that if anything but a state title for JBS next year would be considered a failure.
#5
Good attempt JBS.

JBS actualy played a very good 1st half and showed an over confident warrent central team tht they were not going to be a pushover. They hung in with them and even had the lead up to 9 at a moment and i really thought they were going to pull it off, and in the back of my head i wasnt even mad......i was actualy impressed and at that point of time i wanted them to win just to show that eastern kentucky boys can play in the state. But then 3rd quarter rolled around and #5 Monet and #2 went crazy and had unbelievable layups and shots in. They went on fire and showed the team they really were. But as far as it goes for JBS, they played real good, they have nothing to hang their heads about, they played with heart and Clint was on fire tonight. If they play like this and have the same team next year I wouldnt doubt them winning the region again and making it farther next year.

Good Job JBS, nice game.....very nice...and this comes from a die hard DAWG fan.
Congrats Warren Central

I appreciate their effort, they played WC alot closer than most people expected. The Radio said Garrison Collins had a breakout game.

close???lmao looks like they got killed to me
#9
Did I say it was close, I said alot closer than most expected. It was a 1pt game at the Half. Most people expected them to get beat 50 including myself, 18pts is alot closer than most expected.

you cant expect much sending the worse team in the region to state.. everyone expected it.. so why be all down? and to the golden boy stepp, anything shy of a victory next year is failure? be prepared for the failure:boosign:

There is not another young man in the 14th from any school that would have made a statement like that..It shows what they are taught..congrats WC and hats off to you for pulling your first 5 with 2 minutes to go that was class..

Congrats WC, hope you win it all. JBS should be proud. They played hard, WC had too deep of a bench. They would sub 3-4 players at times, keeping legs fresh. I do question JBS coaching staff. They knew WC would come out the second half and press, however JBS didn't seem ready for this. Strange JBS wasn't ready. No motivation at halftime ? Also, when JBS was 10 down in the third they failed to press WC, it was the turning point of the game and the coaching staff is to blame, not the boys. Boys effort A , coaching staff D on the game. I think all JBS supporters and fans should really demand more quality at the coaching level at JBS. I thought the Stepp family knew basketball, they proved tonight that when the "lights" are on they are only average, just big fish in a small pond. JBS players = great competitors and represented eastern Ky with pride. Stepp = sub-par coaching and Narcistic Personality Disorder. By the way, where's Joe ? Anybody ?

JBS really does need some coaching changes if they want to do better next year, they played a heck of a game and those boys deserve a better coaching staff.
#14
I think it will be Scott Co and Warren Central in the Championship Game!!
#15
I told you
#16
JBS isnt that good...they just have a big man that can alter shots
#17
Congrats Warren Central
#18
A Big Big Congrats.
#19
Congrats to both teams! JBS, you had a great year!

This is pushing it right here? What was he thinking by saying this? This is one of the reasons that no one likes us at jbs.

Congrats to WC

Yea I don't see any team from the 14th doing any better than JBS did. I had heard that JBS did not deserve to make it to state. If I was from the 14th I would not want another team to represent my region. They played a top team in the state tough up until about late third quarter. yea I know a lot of people hate JBS but you have to give credit where its due. JBS deserved to be at state!

I absolutely thought the same thing. The coaching staff did not seem to comprehend anything goin on in the game... JBS played great 1st half and should have been closer than 18. A few fastbreak layups were given up and silly turnovers because of the ugly press offense. JBS got out coached easily, but as for showing up to play both teams came ready and JBS had an opportunity and could not pull it off. I was proud of them and wish them luck next year!

Question....anybody......Where was Conley at in the second half ?
#25
Setting on the bench like always.

The big guy didn't alter to many shots. JBS is good. WC is a top team in the state and had the best shooter in the tournament IMO with Jeremy Anderson.

Stepp and Cox best set of guards in the mts!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I disagree, atleast for the 2006-2007 season or 2005-2006 season they were not.

ok, so JBS is the worst team in the region? wow, I didnt know that, so Wolfe County, or Riverside should have went to state and represented the 14th instead of JBS? I mean, JBS had a 9 point lead with around 3-4 minutes to go in the 1st half, and Warren Central, who did win state in 2004, and came runner up in 2005, made a big 11-3 run, and it didnt stop after half time. Warren Central is 30-5, and they were up on JBS by 1 point at halftime. Warren Central was on a 19 game winning streak until they got beat in the final 4, by the runner up Ballard. If JBS kept playing like they did in the first half, this game would have been a whole lot closer, and they maybe could have even won the game. They held Anderson, who is going to Air Force, to under 5 points, has any team done that to him this year? or even last year? he averages around 17 points a game, and he is one of the best, if not the best shooters in the state, but I guess Wolfe County or someone else could have gone down there and done better, im sure they would have, every team in the region would have trouble with Warren Central, every single team in the state would have trouble with them.

Uncle Bob Wrote:Question....anybody......Where was Conley at in the second half ?

I dont know but he sure did a good job what little bit he was in the game ,he only played a few minutes the first half and very few minutes the seconed half. He had 7 points and only played a few minutes. I thought his wide body presence was helpful while he was in the game WC was more physical and conley was not pushed around. He had a great last game for no longer than he played.
