it makes me sick that we dont have lofton in KY blue. it shows lack of respect from the tubster and brooks.

I just don't understand how you can overlook a player like Lofton....He's been underrated his entire life and what's he doing now, lighting up UK for 30 and leading his team to a conference title and a tournament bid....which UK has no shot at.....

Don't Get Me Started On The Lofton Thing. There Is Not Enough Room On The Server To Hold What I Think About The "TUB" And The Bungling On The Non-Recruitment Of One Of The Best Players I Have Ever Seen. :CE_DP_Ste :redboxer:

lol like somone said, Who would you drether have a 5 star recruit you hear alot about or a 1 star recruit that u dont hear that much about. But i mean i know hes great now but who would have known that he would have been the shooter he is in college?

All right lets put it this way ! You've got a 1 schlorship left and you have a 5 star bball or football player that wants to play for you. And you have got a 1 star athlete that wants to play for you! Who would you rather have? I would have the 5 star player instead of the 1 star if he is from the state the college is or not ! Plus Chris Lofton wasnt even recruited by Tennessee Vols on national signing day he was recruited by them a week or two later !

By simply watching him play. How could you not want him? We miss Lofton, but get the likes of Stockon, LeMaster, and Carrier. Those are some great 5-star recruits there.... Rolleyes

different class, different situuation.....lets drop the lofton garbage please?? seriously, it is old. you all werent on here saying coach smith was ignorant when he recruited the sophomore class. hindsight is 20/20 people.

First off, Chris Lofton was a 3-star player, and even someone who had no knowledge of basketball could see this young man blossoming into a future NBA player, to this day I will never forget the shot that he made against Trinity to force over time at Rupp. The thing is, Tubby chose PATRICK SPARKS over Chris Lofton, lots of logic there.

Alot of places overlooked Lofton not just UK. One was the other in state school Louisville but everyone forgets about that.

UK really needs to rethink how they recruit players. Tenessee has rethought recruitment the past few years and ended up with a competitive team. McDonalds all-americans stay in school one year and go pro. Can't build teams around those players.

I love the fact that people don't realize Lofton would have been wearing some EKY or Morehead apparel if Tennessee wouldn't have offered him in late April after a player on their team was dismissed.

NOBODY wanted Lofton, even Tennessee was reluctant to take him. It just worked out that he turned out the way he did.

anybody that watched him play in the state tourney could tell thats alot of pressure there and he was awsome
you couldnt tell he was a shooter in high school ? come on he lit the state tourney up 2 years winning one state title plus what he done through out the seasons

The reason everyone forgets that is because Jesus (Rick Pitino) coaches there and you know that he does nothing wrong...So why not just go ahead and blame this whole thing on Tubby.

listen no one knew that Lofton would be like this. Me included, who have said that we should have him. And heres why we dont have him.

Look at the past KY players that UK has had. Stockton, Carrier, Tackett, LeMaster, Carter. they all suck. well they did in college. Tubby took them cause they was the best in the state that year. With the exception being Tackett who hada stellar state tourney. All these players have turned out to be busts. Tuby thought along with his staff that Lofton would follow. But like many were proved wrong.

Correct me if i'm wrong but wasn't Lofton MR Kentucky basketball? I believe you should recruit the number one player in the state no matter what the past players have done. Besides Carrier didn't "suck". I've seen him light up UK's best Dfensive players in practice. He just couldn't get it together in a game. The offense didn't really match well for him either.

This is funny. Lofton didn't have enough stars after his name as a high school recruit for ky to go after and they really messed up. so tell me how Tenn saw enough talent in Hicks to watch over and over that no other D1 school saw, maybe Tenn doesn't have to rely on the stars to recruit but pick the players that they need for their team. BTW, if Lofton had had the ball tonight in the last play, Tenn. would have not been the loser to Ohio.
