Here's what I think:
When I played we called the ball the rock. You know, gimme the rock. Probably doing the same thing..We used to say "Share the Rock Straight to State"

Thats kinda it but differnt! It's one of them things you can't explain. I know the ball players coaches, and the fans who were there every night in the fan section know what it means( well should)!!
03-20-2007, 12:49 AM
Is it some sort of reference to championship rings perhaps?? I've heard people say let me see that rock on your finger meaning a ring of some sort.

Sorry to burst your bubble. BUT, I think Michael Jordan has already said that. When he won his sixth NBA Championship. Referring to his six rings and only five fingers.

Well that's great and glad it worked for the girls. I was just pointing out to 15regiongurlsbball that it wasn't original and they made it up.

It means like Central has to much heart for everyone to handle or to hold in one hand lol.
Well it's how I look at it...
Cause they have too much "rock" [basketball] in there hands [cause they love it] for anyone to handle...

You are the one that come up with that thing and if you can't explain it, are you even sure what the hell it means?

Heres the real meaning :
Everyone knows how Bevis and Butthead to the rock and roll thing with their hands. (Sticking the pinky in the air, and the index finger in the air, holding down the middle finger and the ring finger, placing the thumb over the middle finger and the ring finger.)
If you've ever watched the movie "Stick it"... thats where it came from.
The Bevis and Butthead one means Rock n Roll. PCCHS (and the girls from Stick it) do the Bevis and Butthead rock and roll sign with both hands, except they but down both index fingers and stick them together.
...This being "Too much Rock for one hand).

Central didn't make it up.... it was off of a movie. (and michael jordan did it.)

You don't even know what it means. It's good to come up with something that makes sense, but this is stupid. And if it's just a Central thing, and everybody else who don't understand it is off their "rocker" then you ought to leave it at Central. No one is taking anything away from the great year they had, but don't get carried away about something so silly.
