Northern Kentucky got beat last night in the Championship Game of the Great Lakes Region in the Division-II Sweet 16. It was by far NKU's worse shooting night of the season. The Norse shot 14-63 for the game, which is a dismal 22.2%. They were just 6-32 from 3-Point range, which is just 18.8%. Steven Wright, a senior transfer from Bowling Green State, has led NKU all season in scoring with a 17.1 average, but was held to just 9 points. Anthony Teague, a transfer from New Mexico, led NKU in scoring with 12 points. The Lakers jumped out to a 10-2 lead, but NKU countered with a 16-4 run. However, at halftime, the Norse were down 6, 28-22. NKU also got out rebounded 35-49. They had just 12 offensive rebounds, while GVSU pulled down 39 defensive boards. Overall it wasn't a good game for the Norse. They finished with a 24-9 record, and a Great Lakes Valley Conference East Division Championship. Not a bad season, but not a good way to go out.

That sucks so bad for the Norse and the night of all nights to have your worst shooting night of the season. Congrats to NKU on an awesome successful season.
