Both teams are really good, but I see valley winning the first round, what bout you all?

If Elliott shoots the percentage they did against Ashland, they'll be hard to stop. It will be interesting to see how the young players of Elliott adjust to the Sweet 16 and Rupp Arena.

Both teams matchup againist each other very well and it should call for a great game. As for my prediction, I will come back to it later.

This is a tough one but if the young guys can handle the pressure for Valley i think they can win this one.

lets go elliot!!!

These teams are pretty familiar with one another through AAU ball... Both teams play a number of young players... Elliott seems to be playing better ball at the end of the season, while Valley has been struggling as of late. According to the Cantrall ratings Elliott is a slight favorite...

Should be a good one. Both very young but very talented. Look for these teams to repeat down the road. Maybe the two youngest teams in the sweet 16. I think this may be the best opening round game of the tourney.

The Shelby Valley Wildcats will win by 5 or 6 pts.!!!
03-13-2007, 08:05 PM
I'll go with Valley by 3

If Elliot County shoots the three like they did against ashland they will win.If not they could lose by 10 or 12 to shelby Valley.I wish 2 area teams didnt play each other but the truth is,,its their best chance for a win.Good luck to both teams.
03-13-2007, 08:29 PM
I have a very good feeling that the 3's will be flying.

That is true OSD, the other teams are alot more bigger and physical than Elliott and Valley.

I think they are!
We have a couple schools that are known for "not hold back" so to speak -- but starting late- waiting until the child 6 before they send them.
I think that this happens across the state, more than here in EKY. We are at a disadvantage by not doing it - if we want to compete state wide.

That shouldnt be a factor in this game. Isnt all of Shelby Valleys freshmen either holdbacks or started school at age 6?
It's not the size of the dog in the fight. It is the size of the fight in the dog.

I believe so.

Valley by 12, I agree with -STATS-, this is a good matchup for Valley. I think they would have struggled more with Ashland because of their athletes and should have an easier time withe Elliott Co. Who ever wins will have a very tough Warren Central team waiting in the 2nd round.

Should be a great game!

That said I'll take Elliott Co by 10. The defensive pressure and intensity that they bring is hard to handle.

This should be a great game in the fact that they are similar in many things. I believe that with the style both play it will be fun to watch. I feel closer to Valley because of geographical location but will support both at Rupp. Good luck to both school's and enjoy the ride.

I agree with you Fball, Elliott is more athletic than Ashland just not as big
03-14-2007, 08:12 PM
Should be an excellent game. Elliot really impressed me but got to stick with the 15th and go with SV.
