UK over Nova
Kansas over UK
I really hope that the Cats win every game that they play but I will be realistic.

At this point we can't beat the school for the blind.

Well Tubby better have his head on this game. I think it is possible for UK to make a strong run, but they better not even think about Kansas until they get past Nova.

He was just stating the obvious. Kentucky is no longer a major threat in the NCAA's. Gee...wonder why?

Was watching SC last night and they were talking about how Nova has a good shot at getting by Kansas, as if they didnt even have to play UK. I think for some odd reason we are going to make a big run this post season.

The only 'big run' Kentucky is going to make in this tourney is the one back to the locker room after the game and packing for a return trip to Wildcat Lodge. Nova is too quick and athletic. UK cannot match up with these types of teams. And after they do get beat, I hope Bradley, Morris, Tubby and the UK fans dont' start making the excuse "we were looking past Nova to Kansas". Spare me that.

The game is at 9:40 pm.

Ive got a good feeling that UK can make a good run in this tourney. Kansas always seems to choke in the tourney. Kentucky has never offically lost to Villanova or Kansas in the NCAA tourney. The cats are 1-0 against both. Kentucky lost to villonava in 88 but that loss was voided by Probation. Kentucky beat 'Nova in 49, 85-72 on thier way to the Title. Kentucky defeated kansas 92-88 in OT in the '99 season.

Something tells me that UK would have a bigger problem with Villanova than with Kansas. I think Villanova is a more athletic team, and like someone mentioned, Kansas seems to choke during tournament time. If UK can get past Villanova, and can play Kansas like they played UCLA, then I feel UK will make somewhat of a run. The thing is, UK can't play 2 solid halves, let alone 2 solid games.

Kentucky has proven they are just an average team that plays hard but lacks shooting and physical play..........

Just keep in mind that Tubby has racked up a number of firsts lately. Losing to Villanova in the tourney could/will proably be just another on the list.

The one thing that would get a lot of the big blue nation of Tub's back would be 2 wins, and I really think they can get them, and in the excitement UK will give him a show of support for overcoming such a tough season, one that has seen his shine dull. I really think the man lnow how to coach, however I think that his braintrust and attitude torwards recruiting needs to be overhauled.
This could really give the man a repreive from the constant attacks against his coaching this season. If the Kids on that team want to bail him out this is there chance, time will tell, if they have heart this team has a chance to show it and make a statement, for the man and his direction.
We will have to wait and see.
We will see if these Cats truely bleed blue.

Doc....have you also had dreams of the Tooth Fairy and the Easter Bunny? Kentucky will be lucky to get one win...two is an impossibility.

Nope I punched the tooth fairy took his money and had hasenfefer for dinner.
I see this as an opportunity for the undercats to make statement, and make me happy.
I can say this with no reservation there is no doubt in my mind that this team can not win the National Championship, but with Kansas and their past choke factors I thought maybe just maybe the cats might be able to pull one off.
But I wont bet on it, and that for me is a major lack of belief in this team, and thier will to win. They are snakebit when it comes to doing those things that good teams do to overcome hurdles to win games, instead they falter in new ways

my opinion means nothing but i'm goin to give it anyway... Ky should get past the first round.. but i don't know if they can or not... on paper Nova looks like a better team, but i havnen't seen them play.. so i don't now..
but if they do get to Kansas, then i have to say, they may have never lost to them in the tourney, but when was the last time they beat kansas, cause i really don't know.. but goin on gut instinct, i think that UK will beat Nova, however i don't think Kansas will choke against them...

Kentucky has found at least 7 or 8 ways blow a sure-fire win this season. My hunch tells me we're about to see one more before it's over. The Nova/UK game is a tossup....whichever wants it the most. The possible UK/Kansas game is a laugher. Kansas with it stable of athletes would simply destroy UK.

The way they have played at times they cant over look the pratice squad.

I'm not a big UK fan but I think they will beat Villanova.I also think they will play Kansas alot closer than people think.Honestly, everybody is looking at some little college making a run and knocking off top ranked teams, but I think that UK could possibly a sleeper team that coudl make the Elite 8!! Go ahead and laugh but just think about it.They are due for a few wins and what better time is there to string 2 or 3 together than the NCAA Tournament!! I picked them to beat Kansas in my bracket!!!
