15th Region Coach Of The Year
#1
Just wondering what your thoughts were on the 15th region coach of the year..
Post your predictions
#2
It depends on who wins the tournament.
#3
i would have to go with Collins-Stiltner
#4
Imma go with Belfry's coach. Not only is she a firsty year coach, but she also knocked off the top seed in the region, with perhaps one of the most under-rated teams in the rgion...I think she definitely deserves it. But we'll see who wins it. Hopefully no one bashes the winner of this award like they the POY award!

GOOD LUCK to ALL coaches!
#5
i thought SV coach already won it?
#6
but if not ill have to go with Belfrys coach
#7
Oh. I have no idea who won it yet, but he's a good one 2. If he's the one that won, then Congrats to him!! But if not, Belfry's coach should definie;y get it.
#8
She wins one big game against Magoffin and suddenly she's had a great season? What about three straight losses AT HOME against SV, PC, and Magoffin? Oh wait, I forgot...the Pond Creek Nation is all about you when you're winning but will stab you in the back when you're not.

If that's the case with her as a first-year coach, why didn't Butcher from PC get it last year after all the drama he had to endure?

First of all, this is just MY opinion. And second of all, I've thought she was a good coach all along. For her first year, she definitely had a lot to work with, and look where they are now, in the regional finals where NO ONE expected them to be. So don't be getting one here bashing her or my opinions!

NEWays, does anyone know who COY is yet?

No it don't. Mark Baldwin won it last year and Paintsville didn't even get out of the districts.
#11
Sv Coach Won It!!!!!!!!!!
#12
Collins-Stiltner has done a great job for a first year coach and she deserves the credit for getting her team this far, regardless of tonights outcome.

She gets my vote.

And not all of the Pond Creek Nation is eager to back stab, there roundball gal. We have some passionate and vocal fans, but that is an unfair assessment, in my opinion.

Sounds like you may have a few sour grapes for Belfry for some reason.
#13
I agree with Roundballgal in the fact that a couple of weeks ago there was a thread just bashing Belfry's coach for their long losing streak and now all of a sudden because of a turn of luck she is deserving of awards and honors.....

Congrats to Coach Napier! 15th region is full of some great coaches!

I didn't see that discussion because I am new.

Could you give me a link or the title of the discussion, I'd like to read it.

Thanks a lot.

Ahhhh, sounds like a little jealousy. Wanna be part of the POND CREEK NATION family? We are selective who we let in. Get over it. She has done great.
#16
No jealousy...the Lady Hawks will be in Bowling Green while you're sitting at home.

And where was the Pond Creek Nation last night when one of their teams was in a regional final? That really was sad to see, honestly. Their coaches and players deserve support as much as any other Belfry team.

of course I might be a little biased, but I have to go with Amanda Collins-Stiltner. She had a great season for her first year and did lead her team to the Region finals before losing to a good Pike Central team. I have to say that the Ratliff girl looked very good in that game. I don't see her D 1 but she is good. Brittany Manns also looked good during the season and tournament. Shae Deskins, YOU will be the best player in the region next year!

Greg Napier won it!
#20
Congrats to Coach Napier. Yes I think Shae Deskins will be the best player in the region next year also.
#21
Congrats to Coach Napier. He is well deserving of this award. And just for the record, I never once got on here and bashed Belfry's coach, I just simply went by what I saw, and all three of the Belfry games I got to see, she did one hell of a coaching job.

So once again, Congrats to Coach Napier and I would just like to compliment the Lady Wildcats for a hell of a year and you all had a great season and I enjoyed watching you girls play.
#22
It doesn't matter. There's only one going to Bowling Green.

And that proves...? Just because a team won region their coach should be coach of the year? I don't believe PCC had a good season. Double digit loses is not that good of a season IMO.

Again with the record stuff. I tell you what, you call the other 15th region players and coaches and ask them if they would rather be 23-3 or go to Bowling Green? Do you even think before you type? They went from the end of December until end of February without playing the first 7 together but they played top teams in the state and they all got better and that is why they won and they are the best team whether they lost 3 games or 13. They are going to Diddle.

Agreed, Kayla Lowe will probably be billed the best player in the region. And I think it will be deserved. Shae is a great player, but I still think she has some growing to do. That said, it will also depend on her team. They will be without an experienced point guard, and I have seen her score many time this year (as well as years before) because of the point guard (mostly Moon and Robinette) finding her open. If Pruitt takes over as point guard, she may not get the looks she has gotten in the past. Before anyone thinks it, that is not to say anything bad about Pruitt, it is just Moon, Deskins, and Robinette have played so many years together, they could anticipate what move the others were going to make next, they had great chemistry together.
#28
JJ Bevins will probably be the point guard next season or at least I think she should be. Judging from the Middle School games she played this year nobody can stop this kid. She's quick off the dribble and can shoot. Look for her to be the nexy Haley Ratliff in the 15th Region. As for you PCC fans....yes, you are going to Bowling Green, but your Coach did'nt deserve to win Coach of the year. He IS a good Coach, but come on....Collins-Stiltner is more deserving. But hey, that's just my opinion. Without Haley Ratliff, PCC is.....well....sub par to say the least.
#29
GO NAP!! you so deserved that one- you are an awesome coach
#30
