I would never be able to watch a game. I do know there was a youth soccer league that did the same thing, you wasnt even allowed to cheer for them and if you did they stopped the game and asked you to leave.

Only allowed to clap when goals were made but no yelling.

When the cheerleaders are on the floor, I do not think fans should boo.

Floyd County Youth Soccer had "Silent Saturday", which meant no screaming, yelling, clapping etc... This was not an ongoing thing though. As far as "not yelling" being a soccer rule-I've never seen it enforced anywhere if it is.

AMEN to that....and I think all of the derrogatory comments and shouts about cheerleaders should stop as well. That is just out and out unsportsmanlike conduct. It's uncalled for in my opinion.

I can agree that people should not boo, it is rude, cheer all you want but do not boo the other team. The school I am from is the rival school of the one I support, and they boo every time the other team enters the floor, hence why I do not cheer for that team anymore. I applaud ppl who come and cheer the boys on, they need it, but I will not support a group that has nothing better to do but sit there and yell "boo" everytime the other team comes in, that is ridiculous. You can be quiet and still get the point across, booing makes you look immature and very unsportsmanlike. No one said you had to cheer for the other team. A better way is to just turn your back to the floor. I have seen some fans groups do this, and yes it is still rude but at least everyone else doesnt have to listen to it.

This would take all the fun out of the games. The best part about the disrtict and regional finals are the fans

As noted to me by my daughter, they need to be able to hear the cheer as they are doing it, to keep up with the timing on their stunts. If they can't hear or stay focused, someone could very easily get hurt because the timing gets off. That's why when the MC fans were booing PHS cheerleaders the other night the MC cheerleaders were doing the cut it out motion of "moving their hands across their throats. They wanted the fans to hush while PHS was cheering so their fans wouldn't do it while MC was cheering.
