It looks like there will be 3 new coaches in the district next season. AC's Johnny Martin has said this is his final yr.(glad he goes out on his terms), BL's Brent Rose appears to be out as the Floyd Co. BOE will take care of it. SF's Barry Hall is leaving the bench but will still teach. Prestonsburg's Jackie Crisp has said he will return and try and start a new streak of regional app.(had made 5 in a row) that was snapped this year.
Who do you think gets the 3 jobs?
SF - I think Martin & Marson will be the top 2
AC - N. Sammons name has been mentioned, would Spurlock come back?
BL - H. Tackett's name has been the most talked about so far, also heard R. Rowe.

Has there a formal announcement of Barry Hall and Johnny Martin because if there hasn't, then this thread doesn't need to be stirring things up.
As for Johnny, I will never believe that he is leaving until you "don't" see him on the sideline during a game.
Let's wait until a formal announcement is made on things like this to solidify if they are true or not and let's not start rumors.

I really hate to see Barry go, he is an excellent coach and an even better person. And for Johnny, this might possibly be the last run for him, but then I agree with JJ to that when you dont see him on the sidelines, then he's gone. As for Rose, that was already a given that this is his last year.

I'd love to see Rady Martin get the AC coaching position, if in fact Jonny Martin leaves. Rady will be a fine Head coach but he teaches at SF I think so he may get the head coaching job there.

SF could be Martin- But doesn't the new BOE policy knock Marson out of coaching.
AC-- I wouldn't count Johnny out just yet. If he goes- N. Sammons would be an excellent choice. Spurlock--I don't see him moving after only 1 season at Clay Co. But for the right coaching position he could.

Can anyone remember a time when there wasnt any coaching changes? It seems like every year a coach is getting replaced somewhere.

Barry made it clear before the season ended and again during the dist. that he was done.
Johnny is the one who may change his mind after the dist. title, but you know as well as I do that all the talk during the year was this was his last.

The Coaching theme in the 15th Region this offseason will be "Homecoming". Kevin Spurlock to AC, Shawn Thacker to SF, Brian Hall to BL, and Bart Williams to JC. All four of these fine young coaches will return to their home county!!

With the rule being passed by the Board, no principal can coach, so this does eliminate Joe Marson from consideration of the South Floyd job.

I would like to see hall move to the 15th.I thought rowe was coaching at pike central.

I would say if you have a chance to get him; you need to seal the deal.
He is a classy guy and would be great for the Besty Lane Program.

I think they are referring to Rodney Rowe!

Hilarious
BTW...While I believe Bart Williams is an alumna of Johnson Central, his home is now Pikeville.

I didn't say anything about B. Rose because the facts are facts there. However, the rest of your post is speculation until formal announcments (if any) are given. I would just have the respect for those involved to wait until something is given out publicly by them before starting comments like this.
If Barry made it so clear, why hasn't there been a formal announcement from him?
Don't even ask me about J. Martin. LOL

rady will be a good coach for sf next year

If something changes and B.L. can not get rid of Coach Rose which is a good coach and does not need board members tring to push him out , they might not be a change in the 58th. coach martin is around 18 wins short of 500 and would be nice to see him get number 500 at AC, coach Hall from what i am hearing on left beaver is he might be back for 1 final season. do not know anything on coach Crisp. I personally hope that all 4 coaches come back in the 58th, they are great people to be friends with and are quality coaches.
Based on facts and conversations ,I think we will have 2 or 3 new coaches in the dist. next yr.
