I dont even know who I want to win. I like and respect the boys from Belfry more. But I would also like for Paintsville to win so we can see the Paintsville/Shelby Valley matchup like the Paintsville fans have been calling for. I think that would be the best game of the tourney if you ask me.

I was disapointed in a way Belfry drew Paintsville but in a way Im glad. This is the kind of game the tournament is made of. Im excited for Monday to get here. I have nothing but respect for Paintsville and Bill Mike, they are a class act and so are their fans. I feel we are the same way. It will be intense and heated but it will be one fun game to watch.

Agreed. Bill Mike showed tremendous class on Friday night after the tough loss to Magoffin by greeting Neil West at half court and congratulating him with a hug. Definitely one of the best coaches around IMO.

It wouldn't surprise me if this one is decided in the last minute. Belfry is probably playing better than anyone in the 15th now but P-ville is coming off a tough loss and should be ready to play. P-ville by 2.

Personally, I hope Paintsville takes this Game. When I'm not rooting for MC, PHS is next on my list. Who knows, after the one graduates at MC and the other one is in PHS, I'll probably be wearing Blue on a lot more occasions. Take this one Tigers!!

Paintsville if they are hitting can take Belfry out easy, but if they aren't hitting, then the inside physical play of Belfry would most likely send Paintsville home. The one thing that does concern me is that the Tigers have not been playing no where near their best of late, where Belfry has been playing pretty good lately. You never know though at tourney time. Could be Paintsville by 10 or Belfry by 10. We'll know soon enough!

I will take tigers by 5. I think it will be a pretty good game but paintsville is just to quick for Belfry.

I have seen both teams play in the last month. Belfry has the answers for Slone and Fergeson and too much speed and size for the rest of the Tigers. Belfry is very physical and will control the tempo of the game. Belfry by 10.

Belfry has had a good year. But they don't exactly play the most steller of schedules. Playing Piarist 3 times and teams like bourbon Co. Can surely help your defensive scoring stats.
Belfry averages 67 ppg. and gives up an avg. of 5.4
PHS ave. 72.6 ppg. and allows an avg of 66.3
Paintsville has played at least a dozen teams this year that are bigger, more physical and a lot better than Belfry. They are about .500 against those teams and played with all of them.

First Piarist is in their district. They played several good teams the only undefeated team in WV who would win our region by double digits in Gilbert. They have played a real good team from Australia and a great team from Milwauke. Also Tolsia WV who would be the best defensive team in the 15th region. That is two teams that are defintley better than Paintsville and one that probably is. They also played Magoffin and JC which both beat Paintsville.

Can't really compare schedules though and put a whole lot in them. Paintsville beat Magoffin Co. and Johnson Central twice but did lose once. They did beat Lawrence Co. and Pikeville whom both beat Belfry. Should've beaten South Laurel (who would go through the 15th Region uncontested), played several good out of state teams in tournaments. Works both ways.
