Magoffins crowd was unreal last year.

True, I think that 3/4 of the county was there. They represented their team better than a lot I have seen. The big thing to me that it was adults. I thought it was awesome.

You guys have complained about the rankings all year how you beat Clay and then you won a game and they lost a game and then they are still ahead of you? Now you want the rankings to mean something, now that is comedy. PC doesn't care where they are ranked. They know that they are the best team and so do we. PC is the best team and will show it next week.

But with a record of 27-3 against Pike Central's 17-10, I don't even see how you have a point here. If rankings didn't mean anything, why would we have them? They meant everything up till this point. Sure, you can throw them out come tournament time, but as for the regular season, Magoffin County was definitely the best team in the 15th region. Not to mention, they have been ranked #1 in the mountains and #15 in the state of Kentucky. Now until Pike Central can win this tournament, they are by no means the best team.

Ok then, I am curious about the game between the two in which Magoffin won. Neither Haley nor Ashley Jade played. Is this not a fair perception of both teams? I hope that you aren't going to tell me that Haley would have made up for an 18 pt deficit.

In the earlier game between pc and magoffin Haley was healthy and harris and coleman playe tremendous defense on Howard and Manns. In the second game Haley was out, Harris was moved to point and Coleman didnt play very much as she was recovering from an injury as well. Pc has now added more rebounding and inside presence with Slone and k ratliff is shooting well. Both teams are now healthy so let's all hope for the matchup and see what happens. I, for one, believe the Hawks will make the trip to BG.

Kendra Carroll is a great talent but we all are guilty of over looking the fact that basketball is a TEAM sport. Ashley Jade, Kendra Carroll, Deskins, Fleming and Ratliff are all great players, but to win the tourney it will take 5 players on the floor at all times playing as a unit to go Dance at Diddle.

The Belfry Magoffin County matchup intrigues me a little because of the 13th region refs which should favor Belfry, and if Belfry is hot then who knows. I think they will give Magoffin all they want.
I will say this though, I have watched all of the favorites this year and I will say Magoffin is the best team. But I dont see them as unbeatable, no disrespect to the girls because they are awesome and play with so much heart. But if they aren't hitting then who knows. Its tourney time so anything can happen. That gives the edge to pc as they have the most talent at players 1-8 or so. They also play great defense. Your team defense can carry you through tough times when the shots aren't falling.

How about the other girls on this Hornet squad?Without Michaela H they lose a workhorse.As far as i'm concerned she is a big part of that teams makeup.And some of the underclassman play a very big part of that teams success.They all have a roll they have to play to make all cylinders click.

I wold like to see as many fans at the Expo Center supporting Valley as they had at Pikeville Friday night. It was wonderful at the support. Lets go a step farther and say I would like to see more then they had Friday night. We are one of the closest teams to the Expo Center therefore we should have no problem with getting there.
