What do the Cardinals need to do to get into the Regional Title game this year?
They have 10 game home streak to defend as well.
Can they protect their home turf?

They can protect their home turf as much as they want, but the ONE game that will determine the Cards fate will be a road game at Belfry.
SC will be in my opinion a Top 10 team in 3A next season and an outside contender for consideration to be the state champ.

I wasn't at all impressed with Belfry last year. Epling and Chapman were fighting with each other on the field during the Russell game, it was woeful.
So what happened in the Prestongburg game 1st round of playoffs? I was predicting Sheldon Clark to win the district after the Belfry win.

They should be fine.

I agree with you, I hope we do, and we accomplished a great thing last year, but it's almost like we built our whole season around that win and it cost us the post-season success that we could have had. That was a huge win for us and especially Coach Hager, but it's like that's all we wanted to do and we did it so we disregarded the post-season play.
For example, in the play-offs when we were getting beat by Prestonsburg and we knew the game was over, our fans started chanting, "We beat Belfry!" Who cares? The season was over and we got beat. We can't build our entire season around one team or one win.
ANYWAY...Go Cardinals! Keep your heads on straight and this will be an awesome year!

Sheldon Clark will be fine next season.

Sheldon Clark might be the team to beat in the region. I do agree that they must focus on the entire season and post season. They now know that they can beat Belfry. I think their sights with be set higher! Belfry will be one of their harder games to win this year. Belfry will be out for blood after last years come back by the Cards.

sheldon clark will be good but there is no way that they'll beat belfry..belfrys nearly returning everyone exept thier halfbacks but thier backfield will be better than last years..i've heard that ivan lee is going to play fullback and put dustin may as one of the backs

Potential is a big word. It is right there with could have and should have. This years teams should have done alot of things but loosing to Prestonsburg wasn't one of them. Hopefully they are using it to work hard this off season.

I sure hope so, but if not next year then definitely in a few years because of the success and strength of our middle school and youth programs. Our brightest days are ahead!

Sheldon Clark needs to be more versitile. They dont mix it up enough. Everyone knows to defend the run game. Keep the same run formation, and pass out of it , and it will keep the other teams in a loop. Or how ever they want to do it. Good luck Cards.
