This was a great game. Prestonsburg did awesome. I don't know any exact stats, but Bobby had a great game!! The first half the game stayed pretty close. But in the second half the Raiders could not touch Prestonsburg. Congrats P-burg!!

Hughes 23....Patton 22....Vance 13.....Stephens 10....hope the blackcats get the rebs on thrus. its goin to be a great game
#12
Hughes and Patton and Vance combine for 58 of Pburgs 89 pts. Bobby stuck on Johnson like glue. Patton was unstoppable. Vance was just driving in for layup after layup.
#13
Congrats Pburg
#14
South Floyd has only won 3 games this year wow
#15
They've played some very good teams CLOSELY.
#16
Congrats P-Burg

Good teamwork on the Blackcats part. #23 for South Floyd was shooting 3's from the vollyball line and hitting nothing but net; 3 or 4 from that distance. Prestonsburg executed Coach Crisps' game plan it appeared to me. Even though starters Chayse Martin and Jordan Hall didnt have a ton of points they were a big part of the win blocking out and playing "D". As I said they played more as a team in this game. Patton ,Stephens and Martin went hard to the boards and goal Hughes was hot from the outside and Patton was shooting and making the short jumper. The game was 5 or 6 points through out the first half. The start of the third quarter it seemed like South Floyd (not all the players ) started going thru the motions to get the game over. Raiders just werent clicking last night in the 2nd half. Congrats Blackcats on a good win.

Congrst P-Burg!

It seems like the Raiders can't put 4 quarters together lately. They had a nice lead at AC the other night and couldn't hold on. They came out in the second half and looked nothing like the team that was playing the first quarter. If they ever manage to put 4 quality quarters together, WATCH OUT.
Congrats on the win Blackcats.

Hard times have fallen in Hi Hatt!!!

I was listening on the radio near the end of the game and thought i heard one of the announcers say the #10 was getting out of hand again. Maybe not tho just thought i heard that. Anyone know if this is true. CONGRATS P-BURG. the AC/P-BURG game should be a dandy. If Paintsville isnt playing i may come watch this game

Well looks like you will be making a trip to Paintsville. They play Central again.

Is #10 Ethan Johnson?? He must be trying to be like Ryan Johnson from last season.

WOW is all I can say neither team is worth watching...Patton's free throw shot looks like a 90 year old womans and I believe that a bunch of 90 year olds could beat either team. Adam Slone is the only person for SF that I saw That wasnt afraid of some contact...They win and lose by that 3..Coach hall Should get a bumping pad and make them shoot nothing but lay-ups and get some big ole dude to bump the hell outta them..I know they have them too, we used them my senior year.. The little guard from Pburg I think is a nice little player, he was more interesting to watch than the game was, Hughes I think was his name....Looks like The raiders have lost the resepect for the game and coach that Henry Webb built up there, That program is struggling but I blame on the players and there lack of heart and desire to play together as a team and win..More worried about fame for there self and trying to be the star! I have never been a fan of Coach Crisp but this year he is making a little something out of what little talent he has.

I have to disagree with you on some of your views basketballer. (your opinion is appreciated I don’t think either team is afraid of contact, they just know how fast the fouls will be called when these two teams play, and with the short bench both have with inexperienced players they have to try not to get in foul trouble. Patton’s free throws may look awkward to you but when your tall like that it’s much more difficult to adjust your shot to a free throw plus the fact until this year has had limited varsity floor time. He was small in middle school and shot up all at once, so it’s kind of like a new born colt finding it’s legs. I feel he’s done well for the lack of experience he’s had in the past. But he can get better. I don’t think the Raiders have lost respect for the game. They lack a quality big man as an inside threat. As you said they live and die by the “3” because of that. Both clubs still have to bring their “A” game for a full 4 quarters. Coach Crisp I’m sure will be hurt you’re not a big fan, but for every team the players have to execute the coach’s game plan. That sometimes means you focus on the inside game till they the other team stops it. Then you go back to your outside game, and some players have to face the fact that, that means less points for them.

Basketballer, your comments are kinda rediculous. You redicule Patton for his Freethrows. Here are the facts: This kid scored 22 points and had 11 or 12 rebounds in 3 quarters. He sat the whole 4th quarter except for about 30 seconds. I only saw the kid miss two or three shots the whole game! Acording to KHSAA Patton is shooting over 50% field goal percentage, leads his team in rebounding and blocked shots. Oh yes, ask Pike Central about Patton's freethrows. He made 4 out of 4 in the last minute to seal the victory against them. No player has worked harder than Patton to make himself a player, remember very limited varsity time before this year. Concerning your comment that "a bunch of 90 year olds could beat either team" is uncalled for. Most of the kids you are talking about reads this board, I for one hope that none of them from Pburg or South Floyd takes your comments serious. I hope SF can maybe pick up a couple of wins before the season is over. I really think that both coach Barry Hall and coach JD Crisp are really quality people. JMO
